I think it has to be said, most people that advocate penalising solo/private play, do so only because they want more people to shoot down, and nothing more noble than that.... i could be wrong, but thats my take.

That generic argument has been repeated over and over yet it's clearly baseless other than psychological assumptions.

You can in Open too, just stick all players from opposing powers in your banned list, it might take a while but it should be possible to make Open just like Group.

I think the blacklist is either not working properly or just meant for comms?

The block list is for comms only - it had the added benefit of lowering the chance of meeting someone on your list only if the instance is full. If it's just you and them in nearby space you will be grouped.

Thread had a mini-necro after a week, and now again a necro after a month.

Since Sandro has not announced any now information about this feature or whether its still under consideration, this thread can only continue to go around in circles if allowed to live.

Therefore it must be burnt with fire... erm... i mean, locked of course.
