That's what ring do, even Saturns rings eventually form small moons that clear out ring gaps, that's how ring gaps are formed, and the rings will eventually vanish, however you have just extracted out of a context a reference to the star J1407, whereas the actual article is about the PLANET J1407B, so I don't know what point you are trying to make, I post an article about planet with large rings and you post a reference about the star?

The star reference is in the context of the "ring" blocking its light, but the "ring" itself apparently is around the planet.
Who came up with the stupid and confusing idea to label planets "b c d e f g" as if they're moons, instead of the commonly used "1 2 3 4 5 6" or equivalent roman numerals? And why do they skip the "a"?
