No, it absolutely doesn't. Allen Stroud even personally confirmed Lave was always intended to be a dictatorship when everything kicks off even in Elite Dangerous. This has always been the plan because the TDW novella. 3174 is the earliest possible date because of the dictatorship but could have happened anytime before December 31st, 3199. Which means,
Project Equinox being shuddered happens before Lave becomes a dictatorship. I believe there is a GalNet that states there was a sudden withdrawl in 3151 but similarly is covered in GCS Saravasti. They just couldn't be detected because the network to safeguard the Bubble was shutdown. This has the unnerving implication that we have been almost continuously "fighting" Thargoids since at least the 2800s to 2900s at minimum. At this point, I would pray we just didn't undo all the progress that may have been made by Alliance if those rumors are actually accurate. Salvation may have royally screwed up everything. Hint: the Alliance rumors likely are true due to the Cereberus Plague events which eerily match with Sohalian Fever. You had heaven all along and threw it all away. Karma is going to suck. Enjoy rebuilding.
"
History of Lave" beacon:
One of the oldest colonies of the sector, Colonial Deep Space Cruisers Herschel and Oberon reached the system then designated L-453 in 2412. Lave has been a Dictatorship from before the fall of the Galactic Cooperative. In 3174, Dr. Hans Walden came to power.
Walden established an authoritarian Dictatorship. The previous economic hardship brought about by the fall of the Galactic Cooperative were still remembered. Under Walden there was stability, just not prosperity.
Walden's rule was very long, and rumoured to involve genetic manipulation as he greatly extended his own life, with his eventual death at the hands of an assassin triggering a revolution.
