They just couldn't be detected because the network to safeguard the Bubble was shutdown. This has the unnerving implication that we have been almost continuously "fighting" Thargoids since at least the 2800s to 2900s at minimum. At this point, I would pray we just didn't undo all the progress that may have been made by Alliance if those rumors are actually accurate. Salvation may have royally screwed up everything. One of the oldest colonies of the sector, Colonial Deep Space Cruisers Herschel and Oberon reached the system then designated L-453 in 2412. Lave has been a Dictatorship from before the fall of the Galactic Cooperative. In 3174, Dr. Hans Walden came to power.

Walden established an authoritarian Dictatorship. The previous economic hardship brought about by the fall of the Galactic Cooperative were still remembered. Under Walden there was stability, just not prosperity.

Walden's rule was very long, and rumoured to involve genetic manipulation as he greatly extended his own life, with his eventual death at the hands of an assassin triggering a revolution.

Lave is currently a capitalist hellscape that destroyed it's forests for short term gains and annihilated the Lavian Tree Grub to the point it was exported Uszaa to become the Uszaian Tree Grub. Lavian Brandy isn't even made on the planet anymore.

Lave was settled by the Earth colony ships Hershel and Oberon in 2412. It was a model democracy until Dr. Hans Walden took over based on Earth. Lave was NEVER the capital of GalCop as the financial powerhouse was Andceeth (see Trouble Banking and Welfare Investments and TBW Loans) and legal capital was Mars in Sol. What part of Walden was a propagandist do you not get? He would lie if it served him. Earth repeatedly shows up as even Lavian Brandy is made in oak barrels from Earth. We now return to our regularly scheduled programming given the misinformation has now been nuked from orbit. Let's be clear, I don't envy doing this. But getting it done faster removes the chances the community suffers. The greatest good is my goal. We need a proper understanding of the past to understand the present especially with Stargoids now enroute to Human space. We literally cannot afford misinformation at this point in time.
