Instant Fights

I swear sometimes the message that the animal has matured hasn't even popped up yet and they are already fighting.

Is the intent really that we have separate cages for the children or something? This is basically unmanageable unless you just want to stare at an icon till it changes so you can send it to the trade post, which is not exactly good gameplay. It was fine before, maybe too easy I guess which is why something changed? Either way, the way it is now really sucks.

There are times when an animal matures, and I am right there ready for it, and I pop it instantly into the trade post, then 30 seconds later, the dad is injured anyway ...something is screwed up.

I've had animals injured from "fighting" that never actually fought. The baby matures, and it is already injured. The stats indicate 1 injury, 1 fight but it never had a fight. It only JUST matured and I was watching it the whole time.

Seems like the game is throwing a dice as soon as a little one becomes adult.
Since the new update, before i buried my huge zoo, i went back to hold my wolves as a couple and got rid of
Wild Dogs as a whole.
Had them from the very start, Wild Dogs could be hold in packs of 6 adults (2 females, 4 males) at least,
but after the update even that was un🐻able.
I got sick having constantly bickering and injured animals from that crap.

Ive started sending the dad to the trade center when they are close to maturing. Going to try just boxing him next time, but sending to trade center works, obviously.

Didn't work for me: mum and 5 babies (dad's in storage). This guy just matured and boom, instantly injured fighting with his mother who's lying down sleeping miles away (red circle).

I assume one of his siblings that matured at the same time caused it; the tigers insta-mauling each other when they mature is really starting to... annoy me.
Maybe they should add the infamy rating from Jurrasic World... seeing as they seem to want our animals to fight constantly.

I just tested it on a zoo where i breed 3 habitats with bengal tigers.

As soon as the little ones get adult the game give you the overcrowed-fight-warning and one animals get
autmatically injured. I had that half a dozen times now and this time i was able to screenshot it.

I had all animals in sight here.
I was there for 2 minutes, then the adult-switch happened.
I got the warning and in the same second you see the highlighted Tiger starts to move/attack.
It was instant-injured even before it moved, without any interaction to another animal.

This is as lazy as it is stupid and sad.

That was not how it worked before.

I would prefer if the game would be changed for the better, not for the worse.

Not only are fight happening more often since the last so called "up"date,
you have no chance anymore to prevent injured animals.

I thought you may be able to prevent this moronic thing when you put the parents in a box while the cups get mature.

Forget about it.

One of the older animals get an auto-injury even when it is in a box.

Yeah this is what I've been saying. You can't stop it because they don't even actually fight they just mature with an injury. Also I just had some leopards that were maturing and I threw the children into the trade center as soon as they matured. Then about a minute LATER the mom and dad, who where the only ones left in the habitat, started fighting. sigh.

We need Adolescence. 1 Year where they can be traded, but don't fight. So instead of going from Juvenile to Adult, they go to Adolescent for a year (or up to 2 years for turtles :D .. or just full on develop different lengths for each). This would also improve trade clarity some potentially if you delineate with a color or a symbol, what the current life phase of the animal is so we can focus our searches on adolescents if we want young ones for breeding.

Or just make them not aggressive for a few months at least.

If you want young ones for breeding just sort by age. That's what I do.

We don't really need a new stage we just need the simulation not to be silly. Can't just pick a random number in the background and apply injury to someone. At the very least one animal should have to physically walk over and start a fight!

It really seems like the Animals are fighting Way more often. It was possible to have a small Pack of Spotted Hyenas with a more realistic Size than the Maximum-Size that they have in the Game without them fighting every 2 Minutes. Now I need to keep them in a smaller Pack because they are fighting all the time.

Also I've experienced the Bug too with automatically injured Animals. It happens a lot with my Siberian Tigers

What is odd there, is that I have it happen a lot with my Bengals, but I've never seen it happen with my Siberians.

I doubt that this is a bug.
But bad game design it is.
Have the same with my Galapagos tortoises in 1 zoo but not with the Aldebra..
Second zoo no problems…

The instant fighting makes no sense at all.. I get some fighting but instantly when they mature?
At least give us a couple of weeks/.

I tried a puppy mill zoo for bengals - everytime
I have bengals in one of my three small zoos - everytime
I have it on my syberian tigers and snowleos in the last of the three small zoos i build yesterday.

Two kids grow up and in the same second the parents starts to fight an one gets an injury.
Not that interested to try it out anymore tbh

Could be because I send the father to storage as soon as the female gets pregnant. Still often had the bengals fighting with their mother as soon as they mature though.

Yeah there shouldn't be instant fighting - should be more like the "hunger" alert. A hungry/thirsty animal doesn't immediately die and you have time to react.

If you send it that early it may work.
If you box the animals before the small one grow up its not a help.
What is complete is the fact that they get the injury without any interaction between each other.

That was never the case before the last downgrade... uhm, patch.

I remember to have fights all the time in my huge zoo without any injury because i was so quick in respond.
With 300 animals i had maybe 4 or 5 injuries in 50 years.
