(question at the end.... Anyone have recommendations for good color palette generator sites?)
Your work is AWESOME as always! I downloaded the plugin and gave it a try, was wondering if there will be themes coming (each folder shows a 'default' theme... pretty sure that's for people like me who couldn't pick 3 colors that create harmony to save my life).
I see there are 2 places to input color codes... A long time ago I used to use a website that had A.I. that would help you create color palettes that worked well together... but I can't remember the site and all the new color generator sites seem to want all kinds of cookies and access to your PC. Anyone have recommendations for good color palette generator sites that allow you to choose how many colors you want (3, 4, 5...) that are known 'safe' sites? (I'm officially old) Also I think the color box is using hexadecimal right? so a site that also uses hex? I think the old site I used to use also had a color sampler to have a root-color to start with (or maybe that was photoshop or Affinity Photo... can't remember)
Nice one! I will be probably showcasing this on my Saturday live stream, a lot of people were interested when I mentioned the release last week!Yeah it's already fully integrated into the UI
I'm currently converting the pre v2.0 themes to the current version. I'll put them all on the CPM Github

The Adobe one is Perfect... I haven't even moved on to try the others... rgb and hex in the same spot, lot's of flexibility, I'm happy. In the CPM Guide I suggest using the Adobe Colour Wheel website to generate a good colour palette. I use it for nearly all my themes, but there's quite a few palette generators out there. Some others I use are the Color Calculator (takes multiple base colours) and Colorizer.
With regards to themes, I'm currently converting all the pre v2.0 themes to the new format. I'll put them all on the CPM GitHub starting from tomorrow .. I think we've done about 10 so far, and have about 20 to go
With regards to colour input into each of the Sections, if you click the Section colour box, then the Custom tab, then 'More Colors', you can input a colour via hex or RGB
I've started to make a step-by-step video, but the CPM Guide is a good place to start for now. Once I've finished converting the old themes I'll finish off the video .. lots to do![]()
I actually like that the complementary (2 color) and triadic (3 color) workflow of your recommendation is more intuitive than the Adobe site that gives root plus variations... like 'no, I just want two colors, don't confuse me' lol... Really like the simple slider. So your rec would have been my go-to, but the site keeps crashing on me at about the 6th, 7th variation change and have to re-boot the browser and start again... happens repeatedly for me.![]()
Color Picker — HTML Color Codes
Finding that perfect color is easier than you think. Use our color picker to discover beautiful colors and harmonies with Hex color codes and RGB values.htmlcolorcodes.com
Pick a color. Then below the box you'll see a dropdown box with several different options for types of pallets to create.
Two short questions here, if I may:
- does this work in VR (overlays usually don't)?
- can this turn the "used tractor" ambience of the DBX into a Mercedes S-Class?
