IO to BP

Yowza that's a bit scary....fortunately has no effect on my hull.

Hopefully meet up this weekend and do it again Cmdr...was lots of fun

And hopefully your video recording works this time (mine sometimes decides it's not going to record but more often than not it does record)

In my haste to catch up after failing to failing to cross the abyss at my original position and my subsequent 15kly detour I neglected to add distances to EDSM (via EDDiscovery) - I've started to submit distances to EDSM for the following waypoints (where I changed direction). I would be grateful if any other explorers would submit distances from known positions to EDSM so that the co-ords can be found and I can see where I've been.

Proyua GN-B b42-0
Gru Byio OK-P c22-0
Blo Brou AJ-X c28-0
Gria Byio DE-E d13-6
Cheia Eork QZ-M d8-0

On it. A couple came through this morning. I'm sure the others will come through tomorrow morning (Sydney time) when I make a few more jumps.
I thought i was being smart and headed up about 1500ly from Sol. Seems I hit the roof without realising it. Had only one jump in my list....a 10ly jump back to where I just came from. But it provided a couple of good fixes so it wasn't entirely a waste

Thank you and CMDR Anthor who also seems to have submitted some distances as well. My Route map looks a lot better now.

So now 65010 ish ly from Sol - under 900 to go to BP. Routes seem very variable - sometimes can't get a route beyond a couple of hundred ly and then I've had nearly 1000! No direct route to BP. A job for tomorrow.

Currently at Ceeckia PK-Y c17-0.

Arrived BP 14:11 GMT.

Total Jumps 3032: since I left Alioth. I've not seen so many "first discovered" tags since I left the bubble ;)

And rest.......

Spent the Afternoon helping CMDRS Kuzsan and CMDRS Frawd Digger search for Jump mats. A great time was had by all - have video of some of it but looks like there are enough hours in the day for it to upload!!

Once again, thanks for your help Cmdr...your time is much appreciated, no matter how successful (or unsuccessful out searches are).

Parked up at Beagle Point awaiting the arrival of the bulk of the Distant Worlds' ships.

I have had my deck chair out, but it's not quite the same in a spacesuit.

Seems to be a good supply of Jump Mats here but "may" go a little further afield to get some Cadmium as I haven't found any (at BP) yet.

Be sure to tie your bits down with Duc-tape.

The very last thing we need is to arrive en-masse with you running around in your birthday suite, being overcome with space-madness........this way the duc-tape will maintain a modicum of modesty on your behalf and our fleet's hull integrity. Goodness knows we'll drop like flies after an eye-full.... :p

Once I'm done here at the end of Draco's Run I plan on camping out at the jump-off point to BP (since I can't get there myself). I will catch them on their way there...you can catch them when they arrive.

That's strange - I didn't find any when I looked. Plenty of other stuff (mostly what I didn't want of course). But thanks for the tip - perhaps it's worth another look.

Have had a few days R&R and searching in the area of Beagle point. Have found several systems with useful mats (and a couple of WW - one untagged at the moment and one tagged by someone called Kamzel (whoever that is ;) ). I haven't be able to find polonium which I would like as I have decided to attempt the "short route" ie. back doen the zero meridian back across the abyss and I think I will be in need of plenty of Normal and Premium boosts ( full tanks N (48.8ly) P (65.14ly))). There is Yttrium is on BP 2 and I have been slowly collecting the rest (have plenty of cadmium, arsenic and niobium)

Does anyone know any nearby locations for Polonium?

If also had an fun accidental meeting with CMDRS Anatron and Localmester who popped into BP on Saturday.

Hello IO, I'm currently on the way to BP via your route.

The maths looked like this at the starting point:

FSD boost on stock:
- 30 basic -> could find additional Germanium after the first boosted jump, so now I have 32 injections
- 10 std -> Cadmium is the bottleneck here
- 2 premium -> the elusive Polonium is what I'd need to have more

After analysing the route, the round trip requirement looked like this from the starting point:
- 16 basic
- 12 standard
On paper, I am okay for getting there and back as I have 10 std and 2 premium injections to cover the 12 standard jumps - and basic is no issue. However, I figured that I'll be able the do 4 out 12 standard jumps with basic on the fumes, so I can both save the premium injections and will also have a buffer/cushion just in case.

I am currently at Iorant KN-S C17-0 and will continue my journey tomorrow - and probably will also make it to BP!

Once again, many thanks for this route! Without it, I'd have no chance reaching BP.
I think it should be shared with all DW commanders piloting low range ships!

You can stock up with mats at BP for return journey. (all there apart from Po) - Hopefully I haven't made an error.
