FYI
router log checked and no disconnect, IP change etc in the previous 8 hours. No changes recorded during the time the server claimed that the IP had changed.
WiFi channel fixed and connection stable. No drop outs, no reconnects. 30-40Mbps connection Also tried switching to wired through a POE and direct to the router. Same issue. even had a 'cant connect to matchmaker server' message twice, even before I had clicked the start option'
Internet connection, cables etc all fine. No issues. No log updates, no IP changes.
I waited 20 mins and tried again and it worked. Logs from router and Wireshark showed no disconnects, no IP changes to either internal or external IP so def been a Frontier server issue. Will monitor and see if it drops up again
Thanks for the info.
You might want to check the router settings,
especially if you use IPv6, as some manufacturers
added an option to release the public IP and renew it
afterwards, since IPv6 is concepted for every device
having a single static IP.
Wifi wise check if there are other networks in the area your PC
has login data for. If you use windows the PC might switch over, if the signal fidelity
of your home WiFi is insufficient.
