That's exactly what happened!

Bought a couple of these, I like them a lot. Have the greeny-ish tinted one on my Chieftain (along with the ship kit) and it looks very very nice. The worst thing about it is the game is so dark I nearly burned up trying to fly close enough to a good light source to get good screenshots!

I do not buy paint jobs until now, they are too expensive I find

They made the light emanating from the screens in the Challenger green.. without making the screens green. Clearly the designers intended to change the screen colours because they've not trims around the screens and details. They just didn't bother so it looks ridiculous. But they can make shiny skins for the exterior.. whaaat.
