why not just have them all year around in the store, people will buy it anyway.. more money for them. i guess most of us understand that in the elite universe we dont mean anything.. so why would we need limited time offer paintjobs? to feel special? :S:S
Yes, you're disgruntled, we get it.
It's a way to sell more of them. If they were available at any time, you could always put off the ones you don't want right now and get them later. With a limited time offer like this, people jump on them and buy up all of the ones they think they may want, out of fear of missing out if they want them later and can't get them.
Same deal with Black Friday, chrome, etc. They can actually sell more by limiting access.
EDIT: Speaking of which, I just realized that I need to buy this for the Clipper even though I don't have one anymore, because someday they might be worth having.

they will sell more of these paintjobs during the 2 o 3 weeks they are 'available' than they would in the full year by having them just there like the others. as flimley says, the fact that there is a deadline to buy them is a powerful incentive for weak wills. which are actually the (proud) target, so makes total sense.

I'm pretty gruntled about the paintjobs, but fairly disgruntled about the short time on them.
Frontier: is it possible to extend this to, say, the whole of September? Some people may be away on holiday and not even know about them until it's too late, for others it may be the wrong end of the month for the pay check. Restricting these to a week seems unnecessarily arbitrary.
When is £3 expensive. Thats about the price of a coffee in costa or a cheap burger in Macdonalds.
