I'm probably one of the few that isn't particularly excited about it. However, the videos and screenshots show that the iridescent effect is very well done and it's easy to see why so many are enamoured by it. The £3.00 price point is slightly high I think, but Frontier probably figured that the price that would yield them the maximum amount of revenue from it.

Edit: after trying the paint on a few more ships, it turns out that SOME kit parts do get paint and others do not...
