Oooh, the little pygmy hippo baby is so cute and funny! It might me realize that I haven’t used many of my favorite animals for a very long time - we just have so many favorite animals to choose from by now! I will make a list of my top 20 and build a zoo just for them - if I ever manage to limit myself to any specific number. But at least it will be an interesting experiment to see how I rank the animals and why I would prefer one over the other.

As a previous ”parent” of cats and parakeets I also love the last video. Mine did not seem to be too interested in the other species, but I never did anything to encourage interaction, just in case.

ETA: LOL, that experiment was a complete failure. Impossible to pick just 20. But often I seem to favor animals I used to see in my old home zoo, the San Diego Zoo/Safari Park, e.g. the Komodo dragon. maybe I focus on lesser or never used animals instead - I’m looking at you, siamang! (Which I also visited every time I was at the zoo, so it should become one of my favorites)
