Is anyone else having a nightmare with Steam cloud saves?

As the title suggests I'm having an absolute nightmare getting my Planet Zoo progress to consistenly back up to the cloud. The last computer I played on suggests that the latest progress is backed up to the cloud but when I check the cloud save file size and progress on a second computer none of it matches up. I'm having no problems with any of the other games in my library so it seems to be a game specific problem. I'm trying to work my way through career mode but I've had enough of having to replay scenarios as I jump between computers. It doesn't appear to be an issue with the secondary computer finding the files as when I check the cloud save files via a webpage it shows the same as the second computer. Between this and not being able to play the game properly on one of the computers in the household that surpasses all of the reccomended specs I'm getting really fed up. I was under the impression that game breaking bugs weren't present, otherwise I wouldn't have brought the game yet, but it seems thats not the case. Any help, beyond the basic troubleshotting which has all been done, or just knowing someone else is struggling with this, would be much appreciated, thanks!
