Is Euro Truck better than ED.

yes, then you just did.

I never realised Euro truck was so popular, yes some complain ED is boring, but surely ET must win that title.

To be honest, Euro Truck is a great game. I have over 100 hours played on it, and it really is Elite in trucks with an awesome internet radio and no combat. It's one of the more relaxing yet engrossing games I've played in many years. It's huge following is not a fluke, it's really a fantastic driving light-simulator with really good progression and light RPG / business management features. And the devs are fantastic, FDev could learn a thing or two about road maps and communication from them honestly. The post launch support for ETS2 has been some of the best of any devs I've ever experienced.

I know I'll be buying American Truck Sim on day one simply because the devs have earned my respect. If it's as good as ETS2 then it will be worth every penny, if it's better then wow.

EDIT: and yes they moved my post here to die, i know i only normally read the main discussion threads.

Yea, most people do that :( . These other subforums are ignored by both players and devs, including the Suggestion subforum, which I would have hoped to see more active with dev involvement. Nice review made by your friend, btw.

I think Elite could match this system with an improved mission system, maybe similar in some way with Euro Truck, at least regarding trading.
That would be nice. Imagine flying as fast as possible, doing a lot of G's entering the station, going to the trade screen only to find "banged up 500 tons of imperial slave" almost worth nothing compared to healthy happy slaves :D

Come back with your statistics when Elite Dangerous has planetary landings for T9s, and Euro Trucker has space trucks to ISS. Until then it's only whichever game suits your addiction to do something while listening podcasts best.
