He commented on the a new F1 racing franchise they're doing and some other unnamed project coming up in 2022. Im willing to believe they'll all but abandon ED after this coming update.
If other developers were capable of something comparable of the same quality as to what Frontier has made, we'd all be playing no man's sky or some other game, that would be better and not just a pale comparison.

Trivial new patch bugs are not mistakes. They always happen as some issues will never become apparent until they actually go live.
Realistic expectations always help I find.

Only if you deliberately ignore both the free expansion and paid DLC that are on the way.
I suppose I'm suggesting if one takes on more jobs, one should hire more staff. But it seems like their staff have been dropping like flies

That doesn't make it seem dead, not having incoming DLC and a free expansion might under certain circumstances. But the current situation is the exact opposite of that so when you say "it seems dead" you really mean "I know its not dead, but I am somewhat impatient".
