It's Asp, not ASP!

...and writing the previous message just caused me to smash my Asp right onto a planet.

This does not bode well for my mission to reach Sagittarius A* in one piece.

On a bigger note, it is a bad omen that people don't recognize a word, so they spell it out. School fail?

Well, another way of looking at that is that when people encounter a short word that doesn't fit their experience in comparative biology but might fit their experience in how companies name high tech products, they take a chance and guess.

Now, if you want an example of school fail, here's an email quoted verbatim that I received an hour before a paper was due, "Hey Professor - what does 'Ethics' mean?"

By comparison, "ASP" is positively benign.

I mean look, if we're going to insist on proper spelling. punctuation and grammar we;re going to have to be tiresome in our even handedness. We can start with the fact that there's a comma missing in your sig. Unless of course the Earl Kyle Brennan is announcing that he's attending a service.

And that way madness lies. So why not leave these utterly harmless peccadilloes be?

Actually if you don't have the wire frame skin on your Asp, then you have a WASP.
A Wireless Asp.

Abbreviated WASP a wireless ASP provides the same service of a regular ASP but to wireless clients. WASPs are typically used in enterprises to connect a mobile workforce to company data, includinge-mail, Internet access, CRM, ERP and company financials.
