Jameson under lockdown??

You've either not read from the start or choosing to ignore like the troll is.

With guaranteed stock, every module? AND a 10% discount?

No, there isn't.

You said, and i quote from your own text...."No access to outfitting, you know the area where the module storage window is, as well as where you buy the new modules.
So cannot refit at all, in any way"
.

I said, and i quote from my text....."Whats to stop you going to the very next system, say Bunda or LFT 926?, dock at suitable station, go to outfitting, go to module storage and transfer the module you want to the new station, will cost pennies and take a minute or so, then you fit the ship of your choice???"

What part of that are you missing? you can carry on fitting your modules which are stored at Jameson to whatever ship you want, when you want. It's called Module transfer, you can, and i am sure you know this as well, transfer you ship as well to another station, so you don't even have to go near SD!

No i have not read every page of this thread i was just commenting on the text in that post, where you show you are clearly wrong or........ well you know and if i say it that's another ban for me, but you get the picture i am sure!

Edit: I know you are peeved at SD being in lockdown, but calm down stop posting rubbish and just carry on with the game doing everything you did before SD went lockdown. My home is in SD as well, but it has not stopped me transferring my vette from all pulse to all MC from my Storage!

I am probably missing something and as you may know i am no fan of what some claim to be pvp in ED.... However. Why would founders be disconnected from the BGS? Rather than masking the symptom FD need to fix the cause, which woukd be making the PF push back at people attacking its system, but imo the answer is not take the mechanics offline

Well, if we had an actual Crime & Punishment system - all of this would be a mute point.
As the first time someone tried anything, they'd have the system police beat the snot out of them.

But as we've waited 2 years for a fix to C&P and seen nothing - until it's fixed, disconnecting Founders from the BGS and being messed with is the best option.

Then once bounties mean something and "Wanted" actually applies outside of just the one system you gain it. Then re-connect Founders.
Also, attacking the home of the people who provide your ship insurance should also prevent you from making use of buy backs.

Ah, the joys of the fabulous One Big Galaxy. Great that those of us who want to be playing a single player game can be disrupted by the actions of other players, even when we're in solo mode.

Imagine how those of us in open feel, unable to attack those who are damaging a BGS we're interested in because they're playing in solo mode.. It kind of sucks both ways..

Lol that would be hilariously frustrating, OR we all had to queue up for a cavity search at the letterbox before leaving [up]

IRL a lockdown is a frustrating thing. And even ingame I don't see any other purpose of a lockdown than to limit the player's agency at a station. I play Elite to feel immersed in a huge universe, not to feel entitlement. Casual players might disagree, but there are other games to play for people who need instant reward.

How to light up a Forum/Reddit and the customer support at FD.....Stop players from leaving a station and stop them playing the game??

Are you smoking something right now?

Why can you only play by leaving the station? You can still load the game and look out the windows of your ships, read the bulletin board or chat with friends (ingame). You could even form a wing while in station. It's a bigger limit than closing the mission boards or prevent people from outfitting or changing modules, but thtis way you really feel like you're trapped in a station under lockdown.

Yup, there should be an entirely separate single player game. As, indeed, was originally promised (it's what I backed!).

But would it?

A faction stopping me landing at their station just means i have to go elsewhere to rearm/repair (unless it was a superpower wide punishment), and sending the lobotomised AI police to hunt me down (if it was a deliberate move to initiate lockdown) would make it even easier to achieve, as the AI is then spoon feeding me NPC's to kill in manageable chunks.

I want a decent crime and punishment system, and have even gone so far as to actually think up a fair and balanced bolt on system via the BGS, but it isnt going to help in this situation. Its not the one stop fix that everyone seems to think it will be.

Lockdowns tend to last quite a few days? are you seriously telling me that you would be happy logging into the game every night to read the Bulletin board and look out the window?......Oh, Damn, i see what you done there...whoops i bit HeHe ;)

What part of that are you missing?

Well as you've clearly not read the thread, it explains a lot.
And as you cannot be bothered to educate yourself and do a quick scan for the information you're missing.
Nothing I can do you help you, as I'm not going to keep tying information I've already posted.

The problem I think extends from all BGS changes being reliant on player interaction (which I'd bet cuts down on the processing required for BGS simulation) to cause the changes, and a lack of motivation by people to take up the faction in questions cause (as we've seen in this thread). :)

ha... haha.... he... haha.... BWHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHJJAJAJAHAHAHHAJAJAHAJAJAHAJJAHAAAJJJJAHHHHHHAAAAA!!!

Oh. Oh thank you everyone in this thread. This has been the best chuckle I have had on a forum in awhile... ha... haha... (compose yourself).

So... for those of you that are quitting because Jameson is in lock-down, did you know that was a possibility? Or, is this news to you? I mean, if you are a "founder", you have been around a long time and should understand things like the BGS, at least enough to understand states. If you are there because you are Elite ranked, you have obviously played the game for a few hours, and again should be at least slightly aware of states.

Is this really the first lockdown you have witnessed? And wasn't Jameson UA bombed at one point?

Also, how much time do you really spend at that station? I understand that maybe this inconvenienced a few players, but are there seriously that many of you who sit at Jameson on a regular basis? Really? Hmmm, I would never had guessed that there are that many people camped out at Jameson. As someone else wrote "Why would you live at the mall"?

I agree though, it is a special system, and it is a special station... but that does not and should not exempt it from the rules of the game. Everything in this game that is done, thus far, can be undone. Undo it. But, you want the developers to play for you.

As a side note the "I have limited game time" is one of the saddest excuses. Everyone here probably has limited game time for one reason or another. Get over yourself. Your time isn't any more important than the next persons. Make a plan, if it fails go to plan B. If your plan B is "I quit", move on. Get over yourself. There are a ton of games out there that only require you to push a button and you win. This game is dynamic. That is what players and developers want. What fun is a static environment?

Ha... haha... hehehe... "saddest/most disappointing moment in my gaming life"... lol.... lmao... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHA... oh... oh man... I hope for the worlds sake these folks are just "trolling" with this nonsense cause I find the humor in that case... If they are legit with this, well... Then this is actually just quite sad... pathetic really... But I am smiling.

Thanks for the laugh guys. Been a rough week. I needed this.

Jameson's been in lockdown twice as far as I can recall, but it cant be UA bombed, as (sadly) it doesnt have a blackmarket.

Glad i helped in making your Friday just swing by! I must admit some of the postings on this thread made me face plant on my desk at work, but i was bored and thought i'd join in. Still just 40 mins to go then i can log into the game and .......................................................Wait, OMG SD is in lockdown and i just can't play, hell i quit!

Yeah, I honestly do not go to Jameson often enough... It must have been a prior lockdown that generated threads similar to this...

I love it. This is hysterical. Imagine what some people would do if they found themselves inside of a wet paper bag...? lol... oh... legit tears of laughter form this...

Are you a backer? If not your opinion is irrelevant.
We payed good money to kickstart the game, some of us a fair chunk, and some allot, and this system was a special reward. It's bad enough that people get access without being an actual founder, but now we're actually having players sabotaging it to

I've paid good money to play the game, in excess of £100, so I think my opinion is as valid as anyones

Guys calm down. No, it's not PVPers causing a lockdown. No, it's not a bug.

It's just ollobrains (that guy from reddit) and his little clan trying to create emergent content... from the safety of their private group of course, so PVPers can't stop them. So get yo bum into the haz res, and gather bounty vouchers.

Aww, bless your cotton little socks, you've learnt how to post links that are actually not relevant to the topic at hand.

2/ 10 for effort.

Who now?
Never heard of him.

Also love how "emergent content" is just code for "annoy as many people as possible" :p
