at least, there would be a use for a wake scanner aside from boring data collection.
i have stopped equipping wake scanners the day they have introduced shield booster.

Or chaff, or PDTs, or ECM, or manifest scanners, etc.

There really should be a limit to SBs because that's really all that counts for combat.

problem is also the limited use for the other stuff you have listed...
Chaff is more or less only for small ships, PDTs are good if you can squeeze one in, but most ships have bad slot placement to cover the ship from all directions with just one
ECM has way to much "trigger skills" involved with a too long cooldown/energy consumption that i could ever use it for anything
Manifest scanners are somehow the same as ECMs... to much micromanagement for a low-rewarding activity (Piracy),

and both modules would be a perfect job for a dedicated gunner in Multicrew... yet you can't reasonably use them in MC

last but not least - thats all off-topic and i start to wonder how many more weeks until a lifesign from FDEV, other then known Members leaving
