Greetings, Commanders!
I recently started up a squadron called the 501st Joint Arcturus Wing on PC.
The squadron shares the name of a player-created faction (though I did not create it) and both are based in the Arcturus system.
What do we do/what are our goals? Right now is to take control of the system (we're currently #3), perhaps even expand beyond the system?
How do we plan to do that? Right now, any way which helps our faction's BGS tick go up, so mainly missions at this point, but I am quite new at influencing the BGS so I am definitely open to suggestions.
I am a trader (Type 9), bounty hunter (FDL) and space taxi (TBD) myself. Recently consolidated my assets from Xbox - where I started - over to PC, where I am based now, and decided that I'd use my modest amount of assets towards a longer term goal like a squadron.
I'm a casual player (have kids, so I have limited time to play, but can dedicate enough to be worthwhile), and as such I don't have the time to put into fully engineering anything for PvP.
I'm based in the EST timezone, but especially with a laid back squadron with all Cmdrs just running their missions of choice I'm not certain any particular timezone is a requirement.
If we get a big enough group, I'd definitely be interested in doing a wing with other commanders to pull bounty or trade missions and jump on the mic for some camaraderie in the black.
