You know how he turns the right joystick during a thrust left and right? Could he turn the throttle handle left and right when he yaws?
If it yaws when he turns the stick, why couldnt the throttle handle turn when thrusts left or right?
OK. I guess they could make one that does so people can fly spaceships.
Dude. It isn't a boat or a plane we drive. You have an additional axis in space but a joystick and throttle does not include it. How do you suggest we move along the axis? Rudders?
Then what about lateral thrust. You are condescending.
OK dude. Why did it take you so many posts finally explain it clearly? Holy smoke.
I did several times and was trying to word it in different ways hoping more simplified terms would make it easier for you to understand. Most like myself understood how our ships move after just a few minutes of gameplay but you were too hung up on wanting the main engine throttle stick to turn to for some reason. Hope you really get it now though or that somebody else can explain it further cause soon your posts will no longer be visible to me.
Didn't even finish the popcorn and this thread was over.
I have a HOTAS with a set of rudder pedals. The ingame joystick is used to control the orientation of the ship (and matches the level of input from the HOTAS and rudder). If I push the rudder pedals to the left the ingame joystick TWISTS to the left (which is how my HOTAS joystick would behave if I didn't have a rudder) and the ship pivots left, if I push the HOTAS forward the ingame joystick moves forwards and the ship noses down, while if I push the HOTAS to the left the ingame joystick moves left and the ship rolls left. The throttle (both in game and physical) is just used to control the engine power.
There had, in the past, been requests to FDev to move the feet of the Avatar to match the rudder input, as some (including myself) felt it would add more realism to the cockpit. However, twisting the joystick does work fairly well.
