Just in time? Who else?

Before the LTD mining brouhaha I had 7b cr’s resulting from trade almost entirely. I’ve more than doubled that since in anticipation of FC’s although I still haven’t talked myself into buying one given the givens. For me it would serve almost exclusively as mobile storage and maybe a first time visit to Colonia and the Core.

I must admit that I spent a few evenings mining and can now afford a fleet carrier. :) I've only got a little over 5b at the moment (though similar amount in assets), but I'll just sell all my assets for the beta, and will have done much more mining by the time they arrive in the main game.

Still nowhere near, but the graph is quite telling...

2017 is just what Inara has saved, I started playing on release of the game.

Fleet carriers expensive.

Mining unbalanced.

fleet carriers are priced right, if income was balanced and has always been balanced.

fleet carriers are just mildly costly with the mining being unbalanced.

But the most important thing to take away from this is that everything else in the game except fleet carriers is effectively free - because income is unbalanced and has been that way forever. The only difference now is that people have a reason to take advantage of it for more than 1 billion credits. The only limiter to wealth is boredom.

This. On my way back to Colonia from a little Sag A* and surroundings tour. Total earnings will be half a billion or so in three weeks, in a 8mil costing Adder. I'm other words, you go from the cheapest to the most expensive explo ships in mere weeks.

Income is fine, if not too high. Except for carriers Vs mining. Honestly, an absolute beginner will be able to buy a fleet carrier, a year of upkeep and an entire fleet itself in a year of exploring.

It's just that mining is so silly, resulting in people doing it while they'd rather do something else.
