Parks Kaleidoscope Piers

Kaleidoscope Piers is a new Planet Coaster pier park I have in the works. It is a reimagining of an RCT3 park, which was a reimagining of a huge 3-pier RCT1/2 park. So in essence, I've been working on this ides for a LONG time. I love making pier parks because each attraction can have its own unique theme and I don't have to worry about grouping rides in themed areas per se. Anyway, it is a work in progress. When fully realized, it will be 3 full piers connected by a beach boardwalk in a small seaside town. Just pretend like the trees and mountains out in the ocean aren't really there. [tongue]

Enjoy some screenshots:

Wow some really cool stuff here. Love the lights lining the wooden coaster... I don't think I'd have the patience for it! And really like the classic two-drop fairground log flume. Also like how you've given each ride a really colourful self contained identity/brand seen in a lot of smaller carnival-style parks. Well done.

Well, all that was well before my time but this latest incarnation in my time is beyond gorgeous. And FWIW, you really pulled your punches on this brief summary, as readers of SGW already know. There are quite a few things you didn't even mention, such as the murals covering the backstage areas, that I'm still trying to reverse engineer steal digest :)

Ha ha! I'll go back and post some of those old screenies.

For now, here's the latest...

I've been working on this! It's The Waltzer! Waltzers were old-fashioned wooden Tilt-a-Whirls before they were called Tilt-a-Whirls. Hee hee. And...because Kaleidoscope Piers is already 135 years old in game years, I figured it's high time to start adding a few vintage rides that survived through the decades. Haven't decided yet which pier it lived on...so it's in the grass across the street for now.

Here you go!

A little POV video:

Did I mention that I love being able to toggle off collision detection?

As my pappy said, "Give that gal a twirl that'll make her whole world swirl! " "Waltzers" is a very appropriate name, and this is about the only flat ride I've ever seen that was worth making a POV video for ;)

Having followed all three (four?) iterations of this park, I can honestly say that this is the best. The incredible attention to detail, the individual theming on each ride, the magnificent coasters (especially the Cyclone with the lighting), all add up to an incredible park by a true master!

I can not wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!

I love this Park, the amount of details, the theming everything is just so well done and fits perfectly together! The Ride Skin for the "Waltzer" is outstanding work. [heart][heart][heart]

Mousetrap Factory! A new darkride on the piers

Hey, guys.

So the Piers added a new multi-million dollar darkride/coaster to the park. It's called MOUSETRAP FACTORY and it follows a group of mice set out to outsmart the factory cat, Jezebel, and sneak into the cheese storage cooler to eat the cheese. It's a super-fun, zany journey. The ride is an extreme wild mouse, of sorts, with over-banked turns, extreme reverse-banked turns, and inversions.

Below are some screenshots and the POV!

Thanks, guys! Glad you like Mousetrap Factory!

Here are some shots of other things in the park so far:

Ocean Cyclone is getting a new color scheme! Workers have already started painting the structure white...they say the work should be completed on June 28th...just in time for the big 4th of July weekend crowds! [wink]
