Thanks jgm. I'll take that on me, yep, my controls order is messy as a result of evolution mostly. Need to do a clean up, but before that I was looking for a template and finally found 'THE' tool.

I'll probably remap everything and give it a few tries until I find my final setup. Is this online yet or will it ever be?

It's in the tool now. Let me know if any of the controls are showing up in the incorrect locations.

Good, tested and working perfectly. Reordering the modifiers gets clear results.

Cheers mate, keep up the good work! Thanks again.

having just gotten an x52 pro due to my G940 giving up on me i've found that on the thumb dpad next to the "safe" cover you have up and down reversed also the left scrolling wheel below the MFD pressing the wheel down is bindable (thats an easy erro as every other function of those 4 controls beneath the mfd is not)

also i dont know if this is me being special but you have the mouse stick on the throttle as bindable but elite refuses to acknowledge it's existence for me despite everything i tried

my binds if it helps

By default it's defined to mouse. In the Saitek profile editor, set it to directional axis or unprogrammed, and then it should be bindable.

i tried that, best i could arrange was once set to a direction axis I could program it to mimic a keypress and elite would acknowledge the keypress.

@jgm is there a way users can contribute a ready template to you? I am currently using mixed setup consisting of T.Flight X and a Driving Force GT steering wheel with pedals and would love to contribute to your project :) I can also provide XML from Logitech Profiler software for the Driving force GT and a button map if that helps :)

Thanks for pointing these out. I've updated the template so these should now show up correctly (and have tidied the template up a bit to make some of the boxes larger).

Yeah that was more in hope than expectation. I believe that there is a registry entry you can tweak to enable this, but I don't have details I'm afraid.

On the X52 Pro without adding a profile the throttle mini-stick is mouse direction, the button next to it mouse button 1. The scroll wheel on the far side is mouse wheel and when pressed is mouse button 2.

It may be useful to put these on the diagram if the programmed button values for these are empty.

If you have high-res pictures of the items and details of which buttons map to which binds in Elite's configuration language (JOY_1, JOY_XAxis etc.) I can build a template. Information from systems outside of Elite (e.g. the profiling software) doesn't help because that information isn't available in the Elite binds file.

Regarding high res photos, I have an old 5Mpx camera and could shot a few pictures if I don't find a high res one on the net, and cut it out from the background... And by XML from Profiler I meant which button on the device binds to what windows button mapping - I thought it is the same in Elite. I'll get back to you if I get around to actually doing the template as I learned now of the blessing that is modifier keys for my t.flightx :) But nevertheless a driving wheel for an SRV seems a nice idea, so I'll try :)

EDIT: found some nice photos on the net.

Keyboard and HOTAS and Wheel Reference Sheet Generator :)

Ladies and gentlemen, thanks to JGM we have the first(?) wheel setup for the buggy :)

You can find my binds for the driving force gt wheel + t-flight hotas x under http://www.mcdee.net/elite/binds/csroqe

These binds are work in progress, and jgm was looking for the possiblity to add pedals into the mix as well :)

Awesome! I have a logitech G27 around, you want me to send you the buttons?
Not to me, to CMDR jgm (topic author).

What is needed:

1. Hi-Res photos of wheel buttons
2. Buttons -> Elite mappings translation
3. URL to your custom binds containing mappings from #2 feed into jgm's generator.

Great tool that helped my wife with her TM16000 joystick.

FYI, I am using a TM Cougar HOTAS with RCS pedals directly mapped in ED.

Here is my binding: http://www.mcdee.net/elite/configs/gyrprb.binds

I know the Cougar is an old joystick set-up, but if you would like further info to support it let me know. I have .jpgs of the stick and throttle provided by Foxy software.

Again thanks for all the work!

I use a combo of x55-Rhino joystick and xbox one pad in t'other hand. I don't expect many would be doing this particular combo setup but there may be players wanting a binding printout if they're using just an xbox one pad. Perhaps this alone may be useful to some but if this xbox pad was recognised it would suit my own combo setup.

Currently your fine tool doesn't support my combo setup and suggested you may implement a facility for it if I post this reference code - msgcuc.

Thanks for a great tool even in its current form none the less.

It looks like this is just an alias for the existing XBox controls, so I've added it. Please take a look and let me know if any of the controls appear to be mapped incorrectly.

And like magic it works! Thank you very much for adding that facility/controller, I've had a few cmdrs asking of my binding setup so this will really come in handy. Cheers, really appreciated :)

all looks good/correct btw
