I have to admit that having a few other possible buttons to configure more functions while playing would be great. And if adding a keyboard where as there are dozens of extra buttons one can configure becomes a reality. Though I'd personally only use a half dozen or so; Let's get it done! Can't say much about the mouse, I've only two hands and both are generally involved with my hotas. But if I can use it to point and click while using the system or galaxy maps; Let's get it done!
Keyboard support support arrives 14th November. Will FDev support it?

The mouse & keyboard support is only open to select games by developers. You also need to be in the Xbox Insider program at the Level of Alpha skip ahead & Alpha Testers. The full release of the keyboard support will not be out yet. The only game that it is working for right now is Warframe.

Developers now have the option to include mouse and keyboard input in their Xbox One games.
Fortnite and Warframe lead the way with the November update with Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Vermintide 2, War Thunder and X-Morph Defense adding support later in November.
If you have a halfway decent match making algorithm those pro-teams aren't going to get matched with scrubs no matter which hardware they each use.
Mix the population instead of breaking it up and be done with it.
Just like this...playing on my Xbox is just an extension of playing on the PC...same 30" 4K monitor (with HDMi switcher) as I use for the PC...I even use the same controller. The benefits are that the PC stuff still runs on the top 4K monitor while I'm playing the Xbox...flick the HDMi switcher, resync the controller and I'm back gaming on the PC
I've also now added a USB switch box for the KB/M...saves cluttering the desktop with more stuff.

Methinks they'll be crunching to get this update sorted and out so we won't realistically hear from them about keyboard support until after new year...

well MS is pushing to move the console and PC into one eco system and with the other games that support mouse and keyboard along with controller an when using them at the same time they work really good and it gives me more options then just having 14 keys to 60 in fact on one of the games having that keyboard allows me to do things im not able to do with just the xbox controller and it vastly improves game play.
an this is coming from someone that plays elite on both PC an consoles well more console then PC now do to the last update braking horizon for me and cant upgrade any of my ships or use my fighters with out being able to start up the pay to win DLC. an im not about to drop another $600 just to update the GPU again a new console cost less
