I have an interest in this question, so I'll offer an answer.

I play in a PG, and specifically Mobius PvE, because that environment fits my view of how the E|D Galaxy would really be like. I just don't believe the Pilots Federation would tolerate members attacking and destroying other members. This, coupled with the idea that I don't need to prove a thing to anyone, and I am happy to concede PvP victory to those who desire it.

I can, happily, accept the notion that other people play the game for other reasons other than myself, and be content knowing that FD have accommodated those differences with it's design of the Mode System. In short: I can play E|D without expecting everyone else to see the game as I do.

So... If I'm on PC, and everytime I instance I block everybody I can see (let's say in one specific station) and I do this over a long period.
Am i going to stop seeing the majority of people in that area?

(I'm on PS4, I don't block anyways).

This is probably the answer to your question.

Elite: Dangerous is the first game I've not done any of it, but wen I did PvPvE in Star Trek Online, it always came back to 2 things;

1) What is the highest DPS I get can a weapon
2) How fast can I kill someone with it.

It was all pure curiosity

Well, all I can guess is that OP blocked after he respawned which just put him in the same instance with his attacker.

But who knows - I have no idea how blocking works or doesn't work.

As for his ship - OP needs to consider putting a little more care into his defenses when he's gallivanting about the bubble, especially if he's in a hot spot.

And, if in the end your defenses don't work out, just pick up and drive on, man. Everybody's got it coming one way or another.

I'm not, do don't be deliberately obtuse about it and don't try to foist one on me by deliberately changing the focus of my post. I already said I wasn't comparing the background act, simply portraying a random background act to illustrate that "because I can" does not answer the question of "why?"

The focus of my post remains true, do I'd appreciate you not trying to subvert the actual and obvious thrust of my words.

I'm tempted to test my exploraluga with a 6a prismatic in open against some ganks. No idea how it fares but I bet 1080 MJ is not enough against a fragboat sadly. Will try soon. Build: https://s.orbis.zone/1ojx

Yeah, practice an escape. I don't know much about the beluga, but it sounds like you're doing a lot better than many prospective explorers.

I care about animals simply as much as you do.

For instance, the only time I broke down during my tour in Afghanistan was when I heard that a MWD had been killed. Go figure.

The fact that I portrayed a reprehensible act, one that any grown man is *physically* capable of, yet does not perform that act... That, my friend, is entirely the point.

What's obtuse is acting like animal abuse is in any way similar to playing a game as intended and explicitly described by the devs.
