I took on a mission in a system with a civil war, Kataning. It said to slaughter 40 enemy ships, but every other time I return from a conflict zone for repairs I notice that even though I was awarded bounty, several kills didn't register on the quest. Really a bummer for two reasons: A) This glitch has been happening forever and B) It really sucks when you need to kill 40+ ships. Why do I even bother to attempt these "marathon" missions when half my progress is erased.
Kills not getting counted..

- Do you have multiple massacre missions active? A kill will only count towards one active mission, not all of them
- Are you sure you're in the right conflict zone (if there's multiple CZs in that area)? Also, are you sure you're picking the right side?
- If your enemy is an anarchy faction, are you sure you have a mission to kill combatants, and not kill pirates from that faction? The two are different and won't count for the wrong mission.
- Are they appearing as mission targets in the CZ?
- Are you actually picking a side at all? Your wording of "... awarded bounty" suggests you're getting wanted... unless you mean to say "awarded combat bonds".

I keep forgetting that one... glad that was the problem and not some more insidious bug!
Oh that's good to know! Guess ill stop killing them first or at all now... just wasted time killing 6 at a med CZ just to "disconnect" at the last ship before they run off so no loot, no finish... My vulture never fell below 2 shield rings but ammo can be tight with large plasma, never tried high CZ figured I would have to run off with no ammo cause im not wasting my materials on them... I dont miss that much either, can't with only 2 guns...
