Krait Mk. II, it's now a Python analog

The more I look at it (and I've now seen it in the livestream) the more I think you are right ...it's like some kind of escalator.

In which case, why build it in .... unless Legs are intended further down the line ;)

The Cutter also has the front landing gear stairs (except they are incredibly bling in comparison to the Krait, natch). I think Space Legs is something FDEV is building slowing behind the scenes, whilst ensuring that assets in the game are tweaked here and there to accommodate it. I see it being something that comes out in the next season, as the hook. This season was all about the Thargoid menace, makes sense that once we've gone beyond (arf!) this season, the next step (pun intended) is obvious....

I'm not a Python fan, so I'm curious - will Python lovers switch over the the Krait or stay with their Python?

Don't laugh, this is my current Python build (minus engineering upgrades)

https://coriolis.io/outfit/python?code=A2pftkFflfduspf5-----040404040505054a0403020201.Iw18eQ%3D%3D.Aw18eQ%3D%3D..EweloBhBmSQUwIYHMA28QgIwV0A%3D&bn=Bite%20Radius

It's not weaponised, light weight and handles like a dream! The downside is, to add weapons I have to upgrade the power plant. This will add an awful lot of weight (new PP and Weapons) and severely impairs the handling.

If the Krait handles as well as this set up with the addition of weapons I'll use that instead, but I will need to test it.

Wonder why nobody takes the FdL into consideration. Doesn't the Krait have even more firepower than that (3x large, 2x medium vs. 1x huge, 4x medium)? Depends on the other stats and the flight model, ofc, but the internals seem to be superior too IMHO (except for having only 4 utility slots).

The Python hull mass is 350t, did anyone get the Krait's hull mass?

If my maths is correct from the Outfitting section of the Live stream

Stock 668 tonnes
with
Small Pulse 2 tonnes
Small Pulse 2 tonnes
7E Power Plant 80 tonnes
6E Thrusters 40 tonnes
5E Frame Shift Drive 20 tonnes
4E Life support 10 tonnes
7E Power Distributor 80 tonnes
6E Sensors 40 tonnes
6E Shield Generator 40 tonnes
5C fuel tank 32 tonnes
Basic Discovery Scanner 2 tonnes

So hull of 320 tons

The Cobras and Eagles have front Landing Gear Stars, and the Adder has a access hatch that lowers starts on the mid port side

Nice one fella, looks like that small increase in pitch and speed is gonna get a decent buff over the python after engineering, I have hope with this one.

So it won't go past 40 ly jump range rigged for exploration :(

im fine with it being a python 2.0, i was in need of a new delacy ship and it looks and sounds awesome!

also, new ships are allways good, if i dont like to fly them, i like to shoot them... look at the T10D :p

Really love the Python but my multi role version is just shy of 30ly. Carries everything you would ever use and lands on a med pad so I will be looking forward to building one of these and see if its viable for my tastes. I am more interested in the interiors for my VR experience than anything else. Hope its not another Defender of the garage and cobwebs design:rolleyes:
