Launcher shows only a quarter!

For a few days now, my launcher has only shown a quarter of the window. I already reinstalled the launcher, didn't help. then the whole game is installed without effect.
Of course, I installed the latest and new graphics card drivers. I'm done

ED Launcher clipped/blacked out?

Anyone else experiencing this at the moment? I rebooted, reinstalled all with no change, this is what I now getting all the time: It's no big deal but with the considerable and increasing number of bugs, errors, crashes and coloured space craft faults; ED is now in somwhat of a 'rocky' place! o7

seems to be a scaling problem. at 4K and 100% scaling, the launcher shows everything. but I use 200%. but it is strange that it worked for years.

Did you reinstall the game in your default C: drive Program Files that on a PC has security protections by default? Start the launcher with administrator privileges to see if this corrects the issues. I cannot launch the game without going there getting a white screen on the launcher if I don't.

I did everything> without success. start and play the game without any problems.

Most problems with the launcher are problems with IE settings, because the launcher uses MSHTML.dll (the Trident browser engine than is also used for IE) to display most of what it shows.

Anyway, on Windows 10 you can disable scaling selectively for each app by setting it's compatibility properties.

Right click on your launcher
Select Properties
Select Compatibility Tab > Change high DPI settings
Check the box "Use this setting to fix scaling problems..."
In the box "Use the DPI that's set for my main display when" set to "I open this program"
In the "High DPI scaling override box " select the check box and set to "System"
Select ok
Select apply
Select ok

Maybe the latest Windows patch, but the launcher itself hasn't been updated in almost seven months.

Edit: The OP's launcher version (4.6800.0) is newer than mine (4.6568.0), which is the newest version available direct from Frontier. The newer launcher could well be the issue...not sure where it came from...Steam perhaps?

shouldnt be necessary and ofc its bad app design if it doesnt scale properly anymore due to an windows update maybe?

i have that too and it also started a few days ago , my scaling settings didnt change

I've got the same issue plus the game freezes every 1-1.5 seconds -- this includes freezing graphics and controls. Both issues started on this weekend. Game reinstallation doesn't help. Can't play

Are you using Steam? Not sure if this works when using steam launcher.

This was driving me NUTS. I had reinstalled Windows (change of mainboard and CPU, I'm a belt-and-suspenders kind of guy), and the launcher only showed a portion -- prohibiting me from changing the language. Since I play games exclusively in English, this was driving me bonkers.
