Lave radio silenced?
The influential and quirky Lave radio has been off air for a number of days. Rumours in and around Lave station are rife after the station was unexpectedly silenced before airing the review show 'Dataslate'. Lave radio, who organise the annual Lavecon pilots convention, is widely listened to by traders and bounty hunters of the pilots federation. Recent pirate attacks and resurgence in trading activity in and around Diso have increased the numbers of pilot federation members in the area. The unexpected disruption to this independent radio station has increased tension further in the old worlds. Rumors amongst the stations devoted listeners and pilots federation members talk about mysterious Powers at play in the local systems and consider matters are coming to a head over the next week or so.
Lave Station commander, Allen Stroud, seeked to downplay the rumours saying 'The latest episode of dataslate is being prepared and will be online asap. We are investigating the cause of the interuption to our scheduled programs.' Others have suggested the outage was caused by an errant wrench. When questioned Fozza Forrester 2nd tech at the station however denied this ' Wrench. NO, wasn't my wrench its right here....err.. NO comment!'
The stations loyal listeners have vowed continue to support the station and are planning to gather outside Lave station for the regular Lave Radio Live broadcast.

Due to a variety of reasons (from Dental work, through Sickness and into technical difficulties) we're going to have to cancel this week's live show. As a special treat for you though we have resurrected a blast from the past with 'Episode 1 of lave radio' going out at 20:30.Ben

By the way, any news on Episode 62?
Episode 62 is available on Itunes as far as I can see - it downloaded to my Iphone automatically yesterday. Probably you can't see it on the website as website still down?

The site worked for me the last two days. But I guess they still have technical difficulties.
And I rather never listen to an Episode of Lave Radio again, before I install iTunes.
OK, but I think that Itunes probably picks up the actual file from an external address, so if you know the location where the podcast is stored you can manually grab it. Maybe Psykokow could publish the direct url to grab the podcast here on the forum whilst waiting for the technical issues to be resolved.

im suspecting here there may be server overload on their shared IP (assuming its a shared IP) @ FASTHOSTS-UK-NETWORK who hosts the lave radio site. if this is the case i have encountered this before with hostgator etc where they are limited to so much traffic and if it goes over the mark they suspend the site till the website is super cached (especially wordpress or Joomla sites). it can be fixed easily with things like supercache and pointing the site to cloudflare etc..
im not familiar with the hosting plan the fellas have for lave radio but if their stuck for ideas and they have had a usage overload message sent to them its a good place to start looking into.
nonetheless if its none of the above then ignore me

We've got a fair idea of what it is and we're pretty sure it isn't this.

ahh fair point Allen no worries. was just trying to be helpful as ike i said i've run into situations like this myself. usually its what i previously mentioned but if you guys have it in hand then i'll shush up and let you all crack on.
