I'm sorry, you've not been CC'd into the Boomer Email but the current popular game for spotty faced erks is Among Us/Genshin Impact. Fornite has its place in the pantheon of games slated by boomers but if you want to be current use a more recent game.

That's wrong. I don't know if you're looking at the wrong chart, but You can see how many people were playing at any time continuously and how many were playing an hour ago, 2 hours ago, yesterday at midnight, three days ago at 2:30 in the morning or whenever you want. The Steam data also tells you the total number of players that played per day and the average per day.

I couldn't care less which way it goes, though I would prefer it actually does get better but I'm not holding my breath over it. Pretty sure I'll turn blue doing that.
If it gets better I'll play it again, if it doesn't then no big deal - so many other great games out there with a +ve roi on time.

The trend for the last 30 days is +6%, which is positive AFAIK unless my math teacher was trolling me all the time.
If that's somehow relevant or not depends on your perceived importance of Steamcharts threads. Since I am enjoying them monthly since 2014 I don't think the trends are that important.
So how many players in total (unique) played during the month of October according to steam charting?
