I hate this little, negligible fact.yea, but overall Elite players increased a lot After engineers were introduced... so they must be doing something right

I blame engineers for that. Best scapegoat ever.
Yesterday at 08:30 forky was loading up my trailer with pallets to goto Louth, appologys for not logging in.
Which brings me to the next point, games like Elite (and i stand corrected if wrong) attract an older gamer.
We tend to have to work for a living and have less time to play than the spotty face erks on say crap like Fortnite.

Maybe. I waited for a patch, too. Never saw it in action live.Wasn't one of those two periods when they messed up the engineering effects creating the beam plasma? I remember quitting for a week or so during that time.
And my nephew who's 13 just picked it up like a charm. That's the beauty of this game.I am 64, and my team mate is 73.
I think we qualify as being the Elite demographic!

That's wrong. I don't know if you're looking at the wrong chart, but You can see how many people were playing at any time continuously and how many were playing an hour ago, 2 hours ago, yesterday at midnight, three days ago at 2:30 in the morning or whenever you want. The Steam data also tells you the total number of players that played per day and the average per day.Yes, it is showing how many are playing now... Exactly in the same way as customers in a store are counted in real time - if there are 5,000 players playing now - at this moment in time - or 5 customers in a store - it does not give any indication of the total in a day, just how many at a given time...
Agreed, im 54 and my little one who's 8 loves watching me play, then buggers off to wobbly life! And my nephew who's 13 just picked it up like a charm. That's the beauty of this game.
No, it doesn't.The Steam data also tells you the total number of players that played per day and the average per day.
Found any sweet grapes yet?
No, the trend doesn't tell any tale because it's been up and down since 2014 and that didn't stop the game from existing.
Whatever will mark the doom day of Elite, it's not going to be the next random steam charts thread.
Anyway, the current trend is positive, so I guess even if you disagree with me you don't have a point.![]()
That's...interesting. Your point about "not existing" or "doom day" is irrelevant. I didn't even mention that, you did.
The game will survive for as long as FDev deems it useful to survive. We're just talking about post EDO launch trend here.
If you think the current trend is positive then I have a batch of Monkey Jizz NFT's to sell you.
I couldn't care less which way it goes, though I would prefer it actually does get better but I'm not holding my breath over it. Pretty sure I'll turn blue doing that.
If it gets better I'll play it again, if it doesn't then no big deal - so many other great games out there with a +ve roi on time.
The irrational defensiveness is amusing, though. Keep it up!
So how many players in total (unique) played during the month of October according to steam charting? That's wrong. Proverbial and imaginary? Would that make a sound if nobody is around to see it?So how many players in total (unique) played during the month of October according to steam charting?
If you'd be kind enough to provide that tiny detail, I'll stop bashing my head against the proverbial imaginary wall.
There isn't a whisper - but I'll leave it up to the fertile imaginations to make the most of it....Proverbial and imaginary? Would that make a sound if nobody is around to see it?
The trend for the last 30 days is +6%, which is positive AFAIK unless my math teacher was trolling me all the time.
Too right mate, coudnt give a flying Ffffffff about Steam charts or You(salesreps)tubers, as long as im having fun all is good. These player number threads are so trash.
