Lets share locations and methods to farm guardian material

Guardian Module Blueprint Map and sentinel spawn points. It's a tough layout, 10-12 sentinels per run, actually stopped killing them all and just logging out after I scan, so only have to kill about 6.

Start up at the ancient orb site to start the machine, pylons don't deploy unless you visit there first. May be why some say sites are bugged, not visiting the alter first.

Great post. That's the best base to farm for Module Blueprints. At least of the ones i've been to...
I'm actually parked there atm.

To the right of point C, over a small hill that's where i park my DBX or Asp.

Definitely giving you some rep, Pendergast, for this map/location to farm guardian module blueprints. It's definitely easier than the other locations I went to for farming guardian module blueprints.

Still, even with this more easier location and more closer spots to land it can still be a pain in the butt to farm module blueprints compared to weapon blueprints. I also think FDev is trying to drive us all insane by only giving us one blue print data from these puzzles instead of the standard 3. I think I need around 12 module blueprints to get the guardian distributor and FSD booster unlocked (FSD booster for when it's fixed and put back in).

I haven't done any of the Guardian stuff since the disaster of 2.2's buggy and incomplete mess put me right off the whole affair.

As of yet, there are no guardian modules that could convince me to swap out my engineered modules, but I appreciate your map and advice for when I finally get around to doing this so I've bookmarked this in exchange for some rep.

After doing the Guardian site I am at a few times, this all started to seem like work, lol, and I thought I'd figure out exactly what I need to get in order to get the Guardian items I want. Here's what I worked out. It's a LOT. As usual, Frontier seem to have taken something fun and made it into a grind that feels like there's no end in sight. This is literally going to take weeks lol. All so I can stand a semblance of a chance of killing the weakest type of Thargoid. Bear in mind that after completing the site once, you only get 1 Blueprint Segment...

8 x Guardian Weapon Blueprint Segment

I agree the grind is too much, but maybe I can make your day a little better.

You only have to unlock those modules ONCE and can then simply buy them with credits. So no need to gather 2x the materials for fixed Gauss cannons.

The Guardian knick-knacks that drop from Sentinels or pieces of walls are very easy to come by and dont feel like grinding. I have loads of them! But the Blueprint Segments do feel like a grind! I did the new Ram Tah mission, explored lots of Guardian Structures, got plenty of knick-knacks (love the expression) and i still needed to choose two Guardian Structures, one for modules and another for weapons and grind the hell out of them! Bad call by FD!

Anyway, if you guys want a good place to farm weapon blueprints, COL 173 Sector OD-J B25-2 B1 is the best i found. It has sunlight, although a bit dim, very few Sentinels and a super easy layout. Every pylon is either in the center corridor where the main-frame is, or just a bit sideways of the same corridor. It's the fastest to grind and Sentinels dont pose a threat. I just ignore them!

I can park close to the entrance to this one in my Cutter too.
You just need to fly low and slow, wait for a flash of yellow no matter how brief, and zero in on it. Once the spot beneath your ship is steady yellow land the ship even if the ship isn't yellow it will land so long so long as the spot is and you keep the landing thrusters on. Sometimes it helps to wiggle the ship around a little till t turns yellow.

Ah! Thanks so much for this! You just saved me HOURS of grinding. Not sure how I missed that. +1 Repped :)

Great location, thanks! Bookmarked it. This is by far the fastest site to farm the weapon blueprint segments! +1 Repped :)

Do you need to do the Decoding mission from Mitchel Dock first? I'm struggling to survive the Medusa research limpet process in my 65LY DBX. Failed once by waiting for the limpet to dock under fire, ran away screaming like an upset child the other few attempts.

I might have to come back in something beefier with HRPs and a shield designed for more than parking bumps, Maybe I'll repurpose my missions Python, since that can jump pretty well and I have most of the lightweight stuff for rapid bubble-hopping already.

Any comments on this build for general Guardians missions/gathering?

(Ignore the weapons, removing them makes almost no difference to the 42LY jump range - I'm more interested in whether that's enough shield and hull to tank the thargoids whilst I take tissue samples)

You dont need to do any of the Ram Tah's missions to collect Guardian Blueprints and the other knick-knacks. But if you wish to do it, I wouldnt recomend a Python!

I used a Cobra MkIII to get the Thargoid samples first. I had cargo resistant racks, two limpet collectors, two heats sinks and i used the silent running aproach. My Cobra also had Dirty Drive tuning G5. If something went wrong, and the Thargoid got mad it was very easy to outrun him and low wake. You dont want to risk losing your previously gathered samples.
After i collected the 3 samples i changed back to an AspX that i previously equipped with cargo resistant racks. Only then i went for the probe, sensor and link. And only after all that, did i went to Mitchell Dock to accept the mission. I did the mission with an AspX, although i should have used a DBX instead because its easier to land with one on some Guardian Structures.

Fighting the Thargoids for the samples is not your only option, in case you don't realise: https://canonn.science/codex/thargoid-tissue-sampling-techniques/ more stealthy techniques should be easier as there's less chance of the last of the three samplees destroying you if it isn't attacking you....

Nice, the DBX will be fine then, I just need a couple of HS launchers and I can restock the first launcher whilst using the second one since I won't be in combat!
