Lets talk about the Frontier Workshop

Bear in mind that Steam was designed for such things. Although the Frontier Workshop has been available for a while on console, it's new to PC and so is cross platform. Also think of the big-data aspect. It is not an easy task to store this amount of data successfully. I think maybe it's baby steps and get it right and it will expand in future.
I get it but the steam store worked perfectly fine on PC1. Why change and force us PC users to work with a poor comparison? (Not a question for you, rather an open question :) )

I would like to have both. If a blueprint I make can be uploaded to the Frontier Workshop for console players, then I will include it. But like with many aspects of PC2, I want to play it on PC, I don't want the console experience. If I did, I would have bought it for my PS5.
Yes they now have to keep the frontier workshop obviously, but this has been a wrong design choice from the start and everyone told them already but no they are stubborn and now we are all left with a broken mess.

They need to implement Steam workshop, and then they need to find a way so people can transfer them in between.

But I doubt it honestly, seeing the lack of communication with the community, seeing how they release a game with broken path system where guests constantly get stuck, seeing they leave basic features out from the first game like the option to remove path kerbs or add glass pieces, they will probably not even think about actually making this game a pleasant PC experience.

It is the Cities Skylines 2 disaster all over again. And the worst thing is, I loved Cities Skylines 1. But when Cities Skylines 2 came out as a broken and buggy mess I immidiately started hating Cities Skylines 1 too because all the good memories are now ruined for me.

And the exact same thing is happening now. I loved Planet Coaster 1, but since Planet Coaster 2 is so lacking and buggy in many features, I now dislike both games and am left with nothing.

I am starting to feel this way too. Full disclosure, I am still bitter over how it seems like they dropped support for PC on the first game as soon as they were releasing it for console and I feel like we are still getting hosed in favor of console players.

They aren't listening to us.

Do we even have a community manager anymore? One of the best things in 1 was the regular interaction with the community managers. It seemed like Frontier actually cared about their players but that illusion has been shattered at this point.

It's also plain stupid because there is no way someone on console actually makes top workshop content. All the top workshop content is always made by creative people and designers on PC.

So it works again, but it's a laggy mess.

I really hope we can get Steam Workshop soon because I think this game will suffer the same fate as Cities Skylines 2 with everything currently going on.

I think it's a rather different situation. Paradox mods actually has some advantages over Steam Workshop (#1 of which is the ability to revert to older versions of mods) so there are reasons why you might prefer one or the other. I can't see anything that Frontier Workshop has done better than Steam. It's far worse in every conceivable way. I'm not a Steam SuperFanboy: I don't have a problem with using alternate services, but this one just blows.

So frustrating only being able to upload 1 image, no videos, and no comments not to mention the descriptions keep poofing and I have to keep rewriting them. Every time I play get so frustrated with this.

Do what @Ramm OP said :
upgrade InGame Workshop with clearly more items per page , and with better tags ;
or Bring Back Steam Workshop.

Pc Players wont use this piece of Sh*** u forced us to use InGame.

everyone doesn't care about the legitimacy of console players, especially in a construction/management game...
They're idiots left to scratch their balls with the QTEs like GodOfWar.
-Y'our happy Titouan ? _Gneuuuuuu square , square, square

I hope Steam Workshop is in the pipeline. Then maybe they can figure something out so we can export to the Frontier workshop for console players if they want. That way they still have cross platform. But without steam workshop, this game is not gonna last.
They could have 2 buttons one for SteamWS and one for FWS for PC. Then we could just upload to both if we so choose.

Would be nice if SWS BPs could have more than 4k pieces too. That was a limitation from PC1, and shouldn't we be past that point?

Ah yes of course, 2 buttons to upload to both. Very simple yet effective

Advertise it in your signature then. Or tell people about it. Solutions needed.
I am!

But the pages are turn of the century slow most of the time for me.

I just feel like the F WS is like reinventing the wheel and it came out square. I just want an option to use the Steam WS.

We did some research with a bunch of creators today, from the looks of it the frontier workshop also randomly marks blueprints as that they require you to update while the creator that made them didn't even update them so something is serieusly wrong why is the frontier workshop punishing the players by turning this into an hourly task ?? Frontier needs to fix these things. Right now people are already starting to share blueprints through other means. Whoever is going to create a website where people can upload their blueprints is going to make serieus cash because many people are already done and done with the frontier workshop.
Yes, exactly! I also have an issue where most of the workshop items won't even load at all. Not sure if anyone else experiences this issue.
