Keep trading with our stations. Bring in non-lethals, grain, fruit and veg, fish, domestic appliances and consumer technology these I think are feel good items for our population. Anything that is high demand will be good for the boom.
Keep doing missions, especially military/revolution based ones.
I want to see if we can push this boom through!

Thank you kind sir. I've got my mission for tonight... about six hours from now. I think the Federats are finally getting wise to me. Nearly all the missions they've been offering me have been trivial. Time to do something that gives better rewards for my time and efforts.

That could be, but I'm also seeing a lot of missions I used to do (and betray) listed as unavailable because "We don't trust you enough." I think I've used up all the positive reputation I'd built up making my slow way across the Federation on my way to civilized space, before making this detour to Lugh.
edit: it's encouraging to see more frequent updates. I never kept a close eye on it before, since the daily update was before I'd get home from work.

Things are definitely changing in Lugh - I'm seeing only a few missions from any faction in the federation stations - and I just got interdicted by the local security on my way to Cavendish Ring. That's a first for me.... I was ordered to submit to a scan for crimes (can't remember exact phrase), which came up clean and I was told to move on.
Hopefully we're nearly there...
EDIT: OK, so it turns out that LFE have finally decided that they don't really like me any more and are now "unfriendly". That'll explain the extra attention I'm getting...

Right, that's 13 missions of various types done this evening. All had an element of "Boom", so hopefully all of us doing missions will help perpetuate that state. Surely having a boom must increase influence...?

Just FYI, Ethgreze has been in boom state for about a week (haven't looked today). One feature of it was 2 new zones called 'seeking luxuries' around one planet, which each contained three T9s and some light fighter escorts. Flying close to one of them (~200-500m) with the correct cargo on board automatically empties your hold of things they are looking for. One thing they are looking for in Ethgreze is performance enhancers, and they paid the high demand price. It is not clear what else they want, though it may help to cargo scan them to find out what they are already carrying.
Not all of these T9s are from the same local or major faction. Sometimes I come across dirty Federals trying to muscle in, though there are no Federal factions locally, sometimes Fed T9s with wanted status, sometimes fighting the other T9s. So I speculate it may be useful to look at which faction the T9s belong to before approaching them too closely, if you only want to push a particular faction. Obviously shoot up the T9s that are wanted and not of your favoured faction, if you have the fire power, without rep penalty.
