Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

I still have very patchy luck with betraying missions at USSes. I got a rare artworks one from Prunarius for LFE, to do within Lugh, and once I'd got the artworks I spent 30 minutes trying to get a USS with someone to betray it... But just either more artwork or random other NPCs. Frustrating! Wish I was as good as Inga, master (or at least mistress) double agent!

Thanks to everyone who offered me money to get my ship back up and running. I am however back in business and got my beam laser back and my cargo bay. Be careful of that bug. Same thing happened to Roybe last night. If you suddenly find your controls not working check your thrusters are turned on. His had been turned off (bug in game).

Anyone out there tonight? Looks kinda lonely. I've done about 20 missions so far today and about 1,500,000 profits from trade/missions.

Just a thought, those who are still working out of Knight Dock, it would probably be better if you chose Balandin Gateway instead because we flipped this station and there may well still be some influence there to steal. I think this was the home of Lugh Defence Force. They may still have 1% or so there to steal.

Also if you are putting upgrades on your ship try and do this in a CSG station if possible. I don't know if upgrade money ties into the economy but they are afterall big chunks of money so better in CSG than elsewhere ;)

Glad to hear that you back in the game orfeboy. Yeah it's somehow lonely. I for one go also off now. 35 missions done. Need a break :)

Right, that's me finishing for the evening - did a bit of bounty hunting of other factions for some light relief! Strange no %age update since this afternoon. I do wish we had a list of commander names involved in the cause, then I wouldn't end up trying to ask super-cruising commanders who they are!

I had a search through this thread, but I couldn't find an answer to this:
Does black market trading harm or benefit the faction that owns the station? I figured I'd try to find a nearby source of personal and battle weapons, but all three stations in Lugh with black markets are owned by Lugh for Equality. Figure I'd better wait with this angle until either Hartsfield Market, Adamson Enterprise or Cavendish Ring has been flipped to the Crimson State.

Well, I finally made it into town to help. All I've achieved so far is getting fined heavily by security busybodies though. Am I right in thinking there are no CSG-friendly black markets?

Edit: Didn't see Emo Duck's post up above. That's a shame.

Interesting Question. For safety reasons i have tried to avoid Black Market Transactions, allthough i did find some good Stuff to sell in USS. I will go on with trading Standard Market stuff :)

With some luck we will flip a black market station soon

Welcome to the noble struggle, Ben. The struggle against Federation oppression is a noble endeavor, and all help is welcome. And yes, it's a shame there isn't a CSG friendly black market. I've stumbled upon much illegal salvage in when trying to sabotage Federation missions, most of which I have no interest in, it is painful to leave behind something valuable.

I don't see any smileys above. Please tell me you were joking. After all, the people at Frontier Developments have every right to actually play the game the game they want to make. I could see the above post in response to one of the developers posting something with their work hat on, but Ben's clearly got his game hat on. Do show some courtesy and treat him like a fellow gamer.

Tonuge in cheek, i was semi joking, id like him to take a look at where his going and see how he could optimise the netcode so that graphics dont glitch the game for players by 3-4 seconds as they get close to obejcts. Enjoy his time off, but please relay to the fellow devs that a lot of us are wasting a lot of time in outer systems trying to actually push the broken universal simulator to actually work and we arent getting anywhere. it would be nice if they could give it prioority rather than 50 exploiters who really are a minor nuisence but present a small target. Enjoy the weekend and please post a little more often in youre offical caapcity as graphic desinger during the week also :)

in a working simulator given mikunn is broken, how often do the influence stats update ?

Recently it has been updating twice a day, though it doesn't seem to be at a consistent time. Often one of the updates is a small adjustment, and sometimes peculiarly it's moving against us. So I do wonder if the two updates are checking different things. Maybe.

so perhaps each factions server tick fires at different ponts in the day. thats interesting. In HR 7327 we have 5 factions so if that train of logic applies then the servers are updated every 4 hours or so. But we also have the issue with the 9.1% expansion from antoher system bug that the devs have yet to make any comment on. Like everything else they barley acknolwedge all of the small problems. its a frustrating communications gap but i gues thats their way of doing and loosing business. Im going to stick with it but id like to see a more open communications policy like eve online has. we might not like what they have to say but at least they acknowedge bugs, issues and stuff like that

Bottom line, I don't think anybody knows. I used to think it updated once a day, usually when I was at work here in the United States, but I've seen it update several times when I'm playing, or not at all.

My hypothesis is that it's not enough to do missions for CSG, you also have to actively work against LFE and damage their influence, before you can gain more influence for CSG. Its not enough for the people a station serves to see CSG succeed. They also have to see the LFE fail.

This might also explain why gains seem to come in fits and spurts. I know there are several people actively working against LFE by destroying their ships, and I can't be the only one betraying LFE missions. I believe once we've damaged LFE's influence enough, others working for CSG can earn more influence for them. Since not everyone plays during peak hours UK time (I play nights in the States) and betraying LFE's missions is usually the last thing I do, because it requires searching USSs, once we're done playing, we leave the game having freed up some influence from LFE for the next players to get for CSG.

That is why I betray as many LFE missions as I can get. Unfortunately, it isn't as many as it used to be, because after so many betrayals, LFE barely trusts me to haul bio-waste. I think I've used up all the good reputation I had made with the Federation on the way towards civilized space, as well as my diversion to Lugh. If I want to damage LFE more, I've got to change my strategy.

I've already started to pick up my orders from Federation stations, as opposed to independents like I used to. Doing this Friday earned me enough reputation with the Federation to free up a single mission for LFE. I think I'm also going to reduce the number of missions I do for CSG, and start earning reputation with the Federation. I'll concentrate on Seseung, Eta Crusis, and Hill Pa Hsi, the three systems I do a lot of business with on behalf of CSG. This will hopefully make LFE think my failures on their behalf weren't my fault, and they'll start trusting me again.

My other alternative is to actively attack the Federation, but that would leave me wanted in the Federation. That isn't a bridge I want to burn until there's an actual shooting war in Lugh, and I doubt my master would let me anyway. She still hasn't replied to my requests to take bounty hunting missions, and until she does I'm honor bound to respect her wishes in this matter.

*sigh*

What in the world is going on back home?

Hmmm i think yorue on the right path, well if that fails start inviting the imperial pilots across if they are arlady hostile with the feds, then they will have no bones about just running around shooting as many feds in USS and other places as they can, this should weaken their space assets and then allow CSG to gain influence

Yes it has been updating around two times a day. Two days ago we had two small and one big update in lugh. Next update i expect between 15 and 18 pm in lugh if i can go out from the last server ticks.

Maybe we can collect rough data together when we have updates in lugh and mikunn. Would be interesting.

Update

Crimson State Group 62.9%
Lugh for Equality 34.3%
Dominion of Lugh 0.3%
Lugh Defence Force 2.2%
Silver Natural 0.3%

Still moving rather slowly but in a positive direction.

Crush them....
