Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

The more I think about it the more I'd like to see what would happen. The influence has to go somewhere and yesterday proved that a loss can be made up by trade if it is needed.

Break out the guns for a night or two. Engage anything that isn't CSG. I have to say it sounds like a bit of fun too :)

Well, LFE and Silver already hate me, so taking out a few more isn't going to harm my rep with them that much :D

Idea.

Someone needs to gain LFE's trust, and do missions that raise lockdown.

Greetings, Freedom Fighters!

I've been lurking in this thread for weeks, waiting to improve my ship enough to help. When I read that your trade runs were being attacked, I knew I would finally be punching "Lugh" into my Nav Computer.

Well, that day finally came and I arrived in Lugh late last night. I was only able to make a single trade run into Knight Dock before having to log. I had planned to do as much trading as I could today, but with the current Boom State issue perhaps I should instead help by accepting CSG missions from stations currently held by LFE? I am only piloting a Cobra at the moment, anyhow.

Please advise.

I have been quite invested in this story. So much so that when the word "Lugh" appeared in a targeting circle on my HUD, I got tingles! It felt like a personal milestone had been reached in the game for me when I engaged that FSD- for I was about to take part in the official History of the Independence of Lugh!

Also: I have most recently been making some small contributions to the Radio Sidewinder (RS) effort, which I encourage you to check out if you have not already done so. If the CSG would like to reach out to the listening audience of RS, I would be willing to record a "Call To Arms" spot for broadcast there. Alternatively, if someone else (*cough* Orfeboy *cough*) who can actually properly pronounce "Lugh Lámhfhada abú!" would like to record the announcement, I could simply lend assistance with any required audio editing.

In any event, thank you for keeping the fight for Lugh's Independence alive!

Please advise.

Hey Coldglider, and welcome to the warmth of Lugh. May you never feel alone in the deep wastes of space again! :)

Today it was decided to try the domination tactique; kill all npc ships that are not CSG. Poor Robin Hood, too english noble for my taste... PoorRobin.jpg

So the way to help is to get good thrusters, heavy weapons, light FSD, an interdiction module and maybe a kill warrent scanner and you're good to go.
I would advise that you pay off your fines and wanted-bounties now and then, at the same time that you repair and reload (remember to repair internal damage as well, quite expencive!).
If you cant afford the hefty 6000cr/innocent kill, go only after the wanted ships; they are not so many, but you still do good for Lugh. Just leave CSG ships alone :)

Once more into the breach! Lugh's Sacrifice will be put into the fight and my hostile ratings will be renewed! To arms! To arms! The righteous rise again to take up the spear against our enemies.

Remember my friends: Our children are gone and animal meat is oversupplied! This is not a coincidence!

Ummm...I might have been in a hurry in my Type 7 getting out of Knight Dock and might (or might not ;P) have run into a Cobra...well they slid down the underside of my ship. If that was a commander I apologize! The scope said NPC, the shots fired after me made me wonder (and the ship that was firing at me was also a solid on the radar). If this was an NPC, my hats off to the AI designers! That guy was a little bit miffed....and showed his consternation, please tell me this is working as intended!

OK, that's about 20 NPCs taken out... bounties from the wanteds almost balanced the bounties+fines for the "clean"s. But I could swear there were more out there when I finished than when I started! It's as if they come out of nowhere.

By the way, does anyone know of a better supplier of cockpit screen glass? 3 times this evening it's ended up cracked!

All I can say is, whoever the slag was that sold me my shield generator...got me for a nice chunk of change. The first Anaconda we hit, took out the shield generator. The rest of my night was basically dodging between the armaments! Was actually great fun! Our battle at Hartsfield market was quite a bit more than a skirmish!

280,000cr bounty on my head. So that is 46 ships I took out tonight :) Sorry to disappoint any bountyhunter reading this because the bounty is already paid off!

Myself, Mauze, Dubh, Roybe and Tsaf took it to the Feds tonight and exhausted their supplies of Condors, Eagles, Vipers and Anacondas as we stuck it to them with a colossal repair bill they will never forget! I have absoloutely no idea how many ships we took out tonight but there must have been at least 10 Anacondas downed this evening in the defence of Hartsfield Market. But they could'nt stop us! I'm looking forward to seeing the figures for tomorrow to see what effect that had (if anything).

I am also looking forward to totting up just how many ships we destroyed too.

This battle should send shockwaves through the Federation!

Let the Federation send their dreadnought. Lugh will be ready for it!

I'll be rejoining you soon, I am currently at the great annihilator, some 2000ish Ly from the galactic center. After visiting Sagittarius A* I will grab some more non-sequence Stars and then return to Lugh.

You have been out there for ages i have noticed. Sig*A is really a great trip and it would be nice to have a station out there just for people who are seeking for the core and further.

I guess you come back with +30 millions of exploration data and please tell me when you deploy it in lugh. I want to see if it has an impact on the system.

Freut mich das du zurück kommst !

Lugh Lámhfhada abú is pronounced as follows: 'Loo Lawadda a-boo' :)

Lugh - Gods name

Lámh ( Lawve) - means hand or arm

Fada (fawda) means long.

Abú (a-boo) means victory.

In Irish the adjective follows the nown. It is the opposite of English in that sense.

So what it translates as is 'Victory for Lugh of the Long Arm'

Doing a radio announcement is not really my thing. But if anyone else would like to do it feel free :)

Dang! If I'd realised I would have come and joined you, sounds much more productive than my interdiction-based attacks (though maybe I hit more traders?)

None of you took any screenshots, did you?

Same here, and you're right about the screens. I think mine were definitely seconds!

There was a lot of mayhem dealt last night across the system. The Feds didn't know what hit them! :) and then just like the wood ceithern of old, we disappeared into the night :)

Actually i think we did the same during three days before and on christmas. Drachenmaul had such a high bounty on him that he had to leave the system for trading to pay it off afterwards.

Had no time yesterday but i hope you did some nice recordings :)

...

But the Lugh saga and all the little bits of lore that has been added to it along the way have in themselves now passed into the actual lore of the game itself. This was the first such fan based project and most forum members are familiar with it. It is true that you may well be correct in what you say and that should the bug be fixed that we would actually need to go backwards and then forwards to trigger war but anyone who has followed this thread (the devlopers included) know that we have more than earned any entitlement to a trigger of civil war even if the devs have to intervene for it to trigger. I certainly would not see that as a failing on our part. We have done the work many times over.

Fair enough, I understand what you say but don't know if FD agrees. If they did want they could manual intervene already, if they haven't and will at a later date it must be some form of sadistic behaviour to make players desperate for so long. It's not hard to intervene as they pull triggers server-side easily as they do with events, so I wouldn't count on 'they are busy with other things'; or could be an other failure at internal communication within FD, which is always a possibility.

In any case, best of luck with this, you deserve it that for sure. In all cases were we had this bug we are having to manually reverse influence ourself and even that is problematic. In case you succed be aware that there are other bugs during civil wars, for example combat bonds do not seem to work most of the time.

Any project that rises awareness on the poor state of the (only trading causation seems to work fine how it should under all circumstances, plus the very small local market dynamics) is great.

What do people use to record gameplay? Does it use much computer power?

I've been using OBS, which is free and what some of the twitch streamers use but can also write out to file. It's a ****** to set up the various levers so you might want to look at something else. It doesn't seem to affect my FPS or anything else.

You could use Fraps but i think Nightstorm is the specialist for this.

Today or tomorrow SN LTD's and LDF's civil war cooldown should wore off...i am a idealist..
