He also argues with a system that sprung from its own source, from the very people themselves. Not a ruler or a soul beneficiary of any kind. A system that worked and perfected itself for THOUSANDS of years. Proof in itself that it worked. Please, before you speak, at least know something about what you are talking about.
Yeah that's how it's presented. But there's people put above others always. Hell for all i know the whole thing could start out decent. But it won't end this way. Remember Achenar. What it is now? far from Marlin Duval's ideals when she left the Federation. Sure, blame it on her corrupt brother. But that's the thing see. In a system with a hierarchy, things always get corrupted eventually. If there isn't a coup, there's at lest always a few who get too much influence and corrupt the whole system.
There will always be a small minority making the decisions for everyone else, a select few. They may not present it this way, but that's how it is, there will always be people manipulating, cajoling, bribing others to see it their way. You are still human beings, and so inherently flawed and with a strong capacity for greed and selfishness. You can say that's not how it is, but only a fool would believe it. But hey, that works for you, the average man is a fool who not only wants to be led, but needs it. Even better if you can convince them they're actually helping make the decisions. The illusion of individual power keeps everyone in line much easier. Just look at the Federation for proof, 800 years and going strong. The only way to not be pawns is to opt out of organized society.
And hey, you know a system that existed for a few thousand years in one capacity or another? Monarchy. Would you call it a good system? I wouldn't. So what does the longevity of your system proves? Nothing.
Why am i still killing your enemies then? To lessen the Feds influence, since i doubt the Sons of Conn or whatever you call yourselves will ever have much of an influence outside of Lugh, i consider it then as the lesser evil. But whether you win or lose, I won't be sticking around.
