To clarify the "no" about the Cobra Mk IV - if you have Elite and have bought the lifetime pass, you will get Horizons; anyone who gets Horizons and already has Elite will find the Cobra Mk IV obtainable in-game (for whatever it costs in Shipyards). Anyone buying JUST Horizons won't have the option to buy a Mk IV.
No you have to get elite rank for founders world.
I'm only competent, but I have a permit. I think it came with the kickstarter, although I also bought a lifetime expansion pass at the time when they were £35.

Yes of course, but you cant go back in time and kickstart though can you? Currently the only way to get it is from getting Elite.

Lifetime expansion and new expansion
Hi all, im a little bit frustrated by the announcement of the new expansion, i bought elite dangerous back before PB, in which i supposedly had a liftime expansion pass that came alongside it, yet this new expansion doesnt state anywhere that its covered by my pass, infact its showing as i have to pay for it. Is this true? if so what is the point in offering the lifetime expansion pass to backers if its not going to cover the expansions.
Please tell me im wrong and tell me that this expansion will be covered by my pass.

All expansions are covered by your lifetime pass. They did a nice chart somewhere that shows exactly what everyone gets.

Lifetime Pass Beta Access?
I just purchased the lifetime expansion pass and nothing seems to have changed with the game. I see some people with access to CQC beta content, and was wondering if I have to do something to get beta access working? I bought the core game through Steam if that matters. Do I have to reinstall outside of steam for it to work?

CQC beta is not yet available for PC, it is currently only XBONE game preview programme.

Your Lifetime Expansion Pass (LEP) is linked to your avatar account via email address... Meaning that you will have full beta access and release access without it having any relationship to steam... You will still log on via steam which opens the ED server connection screen. After logging on utilizing your email & password, it will automatically display as a beta button next to the play button as soon as it's available.
As stated above, the beta for update 1.4 hasn't been released yet... It will soon, like in a week or two. If for some reason there isn't an option to access the beta version, you'll need to write a support ticket for them to address the issue. I am sure if that happens we'll also hear about it here in the forums so you can browse here to see where they are at with it all. Hasn't been an issue.

Actually, it is literally true. Right now is still not the PAST 9 months.
But you've had a year's head start... A year. Almost anyway.
I get your point, but you do completely miss out on the time issue where you've had the chance to build up a lot more over the past year than any new player was able to.
I mean, new WoW players aren't charged 1500 euros because they had to pay 11 years worth of subscription, becuase otherwise the people who've stuck with the game since the beginning would feel left out ;p
