I can only hand out so many upvotes to you!
I was proving your point that EVE gets more viewers than Elite, and disproving your point that Elite gets a max of 200 viewers. Thanks for proving my point.
Running away from problems will not make them go away.
Disagreed.
It would be showing there are alternatives. Private Groups are as much part of the game as gankers. Perhaps starting a stream in Open, and when one of the mouthbreathers show up, he goes: well, I am not really in the mood for not having fun tonight, so I'll just log into the great Mobius Private Group and continue my stream.

No. There are groups as I've mentioned(Delta Squadron) who go out of there way to try and protect Ed.
There is a time and place for private but lets not get all kill joy and take all the fun away from Eds streams.
Yep, thats what happens when you dont have a Delta Squadron protection wing.
I could link you the several streams which were in open and which were fun and where Ed was protected - not that you'd notice.... because we do a proper job.
Well said. Running away from gankers still leaves the gankers to interdict you again, and again.Running away from problems will not make them go away.
A small group of PvP players seem intend on making everything about them.
Maybe if Fdev hadn't nerfed player bounty hunting to the ground in 1.3 there would be more incentive to protect Ed from stream-snipers, as he would always attract those large bounty players.
They try to. If everyone left open to go private then you are giving them what they want.
I however think we can do better than that.
Lets make Open great again!
How do you figure that? Because that's not what I'm hearing. They try to. If everyone left open to go private then you are giving them what they want.
Dude, we got it. Delta Squadron is awesome.
Two things though: 1) the two specific livestreams we are discussing here were on PS4 -- do you have PS4 Delta Squadron people? 2) more importantly, the fact that Ed could have asked you for help, does not mean that it's OK to streamsnipe him as soon as he logs into Open, on whatever platform he's playing on. This is just a variant of "well, get better shields" argument.
When I broadcast a conference for my customers on features in our software, I don't open the office door to let random people come in and disrupt the conference. Look at live news, there is alway some complete idiot trying to get on the TV 'Hey look it's me' just after attention. Hence why steps should be taken to stop the disruption.
Even if C&P was in the game, that would still not solve the problem of stream sniping/Ganking Ed/Host/activity.
If the stream is not about ganking, then it should be streamed via a private group to ensure the content is delivered.

I agree that is the bind Frontier are in, and I don't envy them.
Bottom line though, is that stream sniping and publicly harassing people (whether players or Frontier staff), is against Frontier policy. The only question is whether or not Frontier want to be seen enforcing that policy.

They get quite irate just mentioning the word Mobius.
All your points have been excellent.
The reason stream sniping still happens during Frontier livestreams is because Frontier has done nothing to make those stream snipers fear Frontier. By that I mean, Frontier should have stomped all over the stream snipers - and publicly - to set a stern example of what to expect if you're wanting to be a stream-sniping scrub.

Nah. Using the block feature however that gets their backs up.
