Login issues

So I haven't played ED in a few months now. I went to play an hour ago or so now and the launcher was all blue, and gave me the play game option. However when I click that option, I would hit (sorry can't remember exactly) Preloading shaders and planet cache. And then I would just immediately get kicked out and wind up back on the launcher. I thought maybe since it had been a while that maybe I should log out and back in. I did just that, however, when I login with my credentials again, I just get a red text "please purchase the game to play" something like that. I read through a ton of stuff. I bought the game through steam so I made sure to go in my epic games account (which I recently linked to steam for another reason) and unlink it. That prompted the launcher to now give me two login methods. Frontier login, and steam login. Frontier login is the one that continues to give me the please purchase game message. So I clicked the steam login. I do manage to get passed the account verification screen now, but now the launcher only shows me the option to play the demo. I have tried going through Steam support, but they direct me to frontier support. So I put a ticket in with them, but their banner says may be longer than a week to reply. I went through frontier site and tried to verify my keys that I am getting from Steam, but it just says that those keys are invalid, or have already. Yeah they have already been used, by me, when I bought the game in 2016. What else can I do? What is my problem here? Why all of the sudden out of the blue, ED just decided I never bought the game.

Edit: after hearing back from customer support, (much faster than 7 days) they confirmed I was using the incorrect email address at the launcher. I'm not sure why it happened the way it did, but when I used the email they sent me in the ticket, I was back in and playing.

I'm having the same issue. Accept I've been playing for the past month almost. I'm trying to bounty hunt for the galactic summit and today is the end of the second round of defense contracts. It chose today to lock me out...

I was playing as recently as an hour ago, but now I'm having this issue as of a few minutes ago. The launcher text is orange instead of blue, so sign of "horizons," and the launcher version in the bottom left says v 2014.11.26.51787.

When I try to run Elite directly from Steam, the Launcher has a "Link account" button:

and when I press it, I'm redirected to a browser page that says this:

So I submitted a ticket. Checked here too, and obviously it's not just me having this issue right now.
 
I am able to play - I have the blue horizons DLC. I bought the game when the horizons was still paid DLC. My friends bought the game after the DLC merged with the standard game (also after the game keys were no longer being used with the game).

I am having this same exact problem, literally everything you wrote out. I submitted a ticket in case it gets a response but I'm not counting on it.
 
Guess what? Me too!

It looks like this is a glitch at Frontier's end rather than ours, as right up to earlier this afternoon, I was able to get in and play the game easily.
 
I have to buy another Steam copy of the game after +1000 hours of gameplay...
Not that I think you're actually intending to buy another copy, but just in case I'll say this outloud... I don't think buying another copy will solve this problem right now, as there is clearly some kind of global untethering between Frontier and other vendors. We'll just have to wait it out I guess.

The frustrating thing is I was really hoping to get some last-minute activity done on the community goal. I guess that got thrown out the window now...
