I tried a 2 stick combo but im a left hander and having a throttle on my left is just magical.
The x56 thottle for VR is intuitive memory muscle bliss. Ive em bolted to platforms either side of my gamer chair. Where arm rests would be only lower. Custom chair.
The stick on my right slightly higher is obviously steering and targeting/mode switching. Those 2 mini sticks are set to all the thrusters.
So zero throttle with pinky slider 0%/75% and use those sweet sticks to land perfectly.
One mini stick is up down left right the other is forwards backwards roll left roll right. Simples.
Obviously all targeting and mode stitching as well as triggers are on the stick.
Throttle has zillions of buttons.
Obviously forwards back on main slider handle.
The metal switches are 2 way so i have lots bound to em as l dont have the option in vr to use keyboard.
Supercruise, hyperspace jump, cargo bay, landing gear, stow weps, dss scanner select, all on those 4 metal switches.
The 2 knobs i use as tuners for dss.
The 3 metal switches at bottom are camera, mic mute or talk, lights, deploy shield cell bank, silent running, and reset view.
The hats ohhh....not even touched them.
Stick hats.. castle is pips.
Pyrimid one is menu movement.
Other one is out of range for my small hand during combat so only menu related binds there.
The 2 hats on throttle one is pips again the other is for selecting targets moduels. Its a tight hat to reach so only good for 2 binds.
The throttle big topmost round press switch i use for left n right tuning in fss also. And press it in panic for chaff.
The press switch below it is cargo bay open close in combat...acts as a brake.
Dont use that switch over on the extreme left..too far away.
The 2 index finger buttons one is boost the other fa on and off.
The tiny flush button trapezium shaped one hard to accidentally hit is...heatsink.
I dont use the formost slider switch...its not working in elite.
Hope that helps
