I am looking into buying a python. How much money should I have before I buy one and what build should I used. I would greatly appreciate some help thank you!
May I ask why you'd carry a basic discovery scanner?Currently flying this for BH at nav beacons and general trading essentially a PVE armed trader and "reasonably priced" for a Python

I was looking at the FDL as my next buy, but I think I'll go with the Python, I will start with something like this and build up as the credits come in.
80 million including insurance.

I always fit top sensors and life support, just something I do.A class sensors? what for? sensors of a pythons size already have the range of smaller ships a-class ... and why a-class life-support?
I'd recommend to go with turrets on the medium, and gimballed on the large hardpoints - medium turrets are fast enough to track small moving objects like eagles, large are not.
class 5A powerplant will run your build, too - and is more lightweight and has a better heat management.
btw.: that build willnot even fly like an adder. if you can finance class C thrusters, it will fly as okay as an Adder. that's not a particular bad thing, i just say this in case you are disappointed. the python gets nice with 7A thrusters and 50% optimal thruster mass.
