Making Your Finale Pack

Based on how Planet Coaster ended, the next (and likely last) DLC probably won’t be a farewell pack or anything like that. It’s probably going to be a themed pack that is more expensive than the previous ones and has more animals. My guess is that it will be a Latin America Animal Pack with 7 habitat animals, 1 exhibit animal, and 2 walkthrough exhibit animals.

1. Black Howler Monkey
2. South American Coati
3. Spectacled Bear
4. Greater Rhea
5. Ocelot
6. Patagonian Mara
7. Geoffrey’s Spider Monkey
8. Green Anaconda (E)
9. Scarlet Macaw (WE)
10. Hyacinth Macaw (WE)

Here's the ones I've been hoping for to be in Planet Zoo. 13 animals. Right, jpc011c?
  1. African leopard
  2. Perentie (or other Australian monitor lizards)
  3. Hamadryas baboon (or other baboon species)
  4. Masai giraffe
  5. Markhor
  6. American black bear
  7. Spectacled bear
  8. African spurred tortoise
  9. Green sea turtle
  10. Rockhopper penguin
  11. Walrus
  12. Sea otter
  13. Golden snub-nosed monkey
That way, Planet Zoo will have a complete set of Africa's Big Five, continental monitor lizards (African, Asian and Australian) and all bear species of the world (plus one more brown bear subspecies from separate continent). Any questions?
you got it, 13 animals :)

I realize I already made a list along with creating the thread, but I'd like to throw out another list. This one being a much more fan service pack. Still 12 animals for me.

1. Secretary Bird
2. White Nosed Coatimundi
3. Walrus
4. Tree Kangaroo (either majorly requested species)
5. Hamadryas Baboon
6. Musk Ox
7. Black Howler Monkey
8. Spider Monkey (not sure on the exact species)
9. Pelican (not sure on the species)
10. Shoebill
11. Indian/King Cobra (exhibit)
12. Jacksons/Panther Chameleon (exhibit)

I can almost guarantee this not happening, looking at the work needed for the Coati, Tree Kangaroo, Pelican, and Spider Monkey, but it would essentially be the biggest names not in the roster, in terms of terrestrial animals and exhibit animals. Hence, fan service.

I am not giving the animal list because there are too much to be included. BUT I will give the name of the pack "Zoo Tycoon". 20 habitat and 5 exhibit. Just to make it to 200 rosters. Maybe just a free anniversary gift in Nov.
Part of that will be my idea too, the specially the African leopard since in Zoo Tycoon 1 and 2 (black only), their location was Africa while in 1, the black one's Southeast Asian.

I can see them ending with a boring 4 animals only scenery pack, including 3 clone animals and 1 unique....

I want them to end with a big bang, 20 random important missing animals we still need, no clone zebra, giraff, ethiopean wolf, and leopard, leave those for modders please, don’t waste the last few spaces

Secretary Bird, Pelican, Echidna, Walrus, Tree Kangaroo, Muntjac, Howler Monkey, Gelada, Gerenuk, those are some of the important ones that modders just can’t make right

Then some minor clones like markhor, Scarlet Ibis, Aye-Aye, Ocelot, spectacled bear, golden Pheasant, honey badger, blackbuck, musk ox, and shoebill

Then the gaur, niile croc, rhea and black bear in november as final free exit gift

Since it's probably a larger pack, I'll assume it will be the size of an animal pack but with scenery. Perhaps something like an Ultimate Zoo DLC, with common zoo animals and some basic scenery.
  1. Great White Pelican
  2. Hamadryas Baboon
  3. South-American Coati
  4. Patagonian Mara
  5. Mantled Guereza
  6. African Pygmy Goat
  7. Grey Crowned Crane
  8. Reticulated Python (E)
For zoo items, I'd love to see modern tile walls, horizontal rustic wood walls, stable items, and perhaps modular rock walls, like the ones that you'd see in a reptile house.

For foliage, I'd love to see traveller's trees and bird-of-paradise flowers.

And those are all habitat ones and hardly room for exhibit ones. And I wasn't sure about how king cobra, green anaconda and larger pythons will be housed in that game even though I hoped for those too. Those were really long and really big.

Two african primates? I think one should be a NWP.

I decided to make three lists: one with 13 habitat species, that I made from my my 2024 Essential Habitat Animals list; one with 8 species covering the different biomes in the game; and one with 8 species with a global theme behind it. Even with these three lists, there are many animals that I couldn't include that I really wanted to. I do hope that there are still a few more packs to come.

The 13 list:
  1. Gelada
  2. Mt. Kenya Guereza
  3. Red-shanked Douc Langur
  4. Secretarybird
  5. Pacific Walrus
  6. Abyssinian Ground Hornbill
  7. Southern Tamandua
  8. Philippine Spotted Deer
  9. Tasmanian Short-Beaked Echidna
  10. Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
  11. Malagasy Giant Jumping Rat
  12. Alligator Snapping Turtle
  13. Horned Guan
The Biome Pack:
  1. Gelada (Grassland)
  2. Red-shanked Douc Langur (Tropical)
  3. Tasmanian Short-Beaked Echidna (Temperate)
  4. Alligator Snapping Turtle (Aquatic)
  5. Western Capercaillie (Taiga)
  6. Bolson Tortoise (Desert)
  7. Muskox (Tundra)
  8. Panther Chameleon (Exhibit)

The Worldwide Pack:
  1. Gelada (Africa)
  2. Southern Tamandua (South America)
  3. Red-shanked Douc Langur (Asia)
  4. Tasmanian Short-Beaked Echidna (Oceania)
  5. Alligator Snapping Turtle (North America)
  6. Western Capercaillie (Europe)
  7. Leopard Seal (Antarctica)
  8. Panther Chameleon (Exhibit)

Thank you for opening this topic! It's quite sad to think that the next pack will be the last, but everything has to come to an end at some point. In my opinion, the game has quite a rich selection of species already, and I'm feeling grateful for that. In fact, I only tried out about 2/3 of the available species. But it's still nice to dream and speculate what other beautiful animals have a chance to be added to this game.

Like many others, I see two likely scenarios for the finale pack. It could be an "Americas (North and South combined)" animal pack or a "World Tour" animal pack. If the final pack would indeed be larger than regular, hoping for ten habitat species and maybe two exhibit species sounds reasonable. I would like to present two different lists of possible species. I think the World Tour lists could possibly contain more of the top wishes of the players' community.

American Animals Pack
  • Brown Pelican
  • Sea Otter
  • Musk Ox
  • Roseate Spoonbill
  • Coati (any)
  • Rhea (any)
  • Spectacled Bear
  • Ocelot
  • Spider Monkey
  • Howler Monkey
  • Luna Moth (WE)
  • Cecropia Moth (WE)

World Tour Animals Pack

  • Sea Otter, NA
  • Musk Ox, NA
  • Great White Pelican, EU
  • Alpine Marmot, EU
  • Spider Monkey, SA
  • Coati, SA
  • Spectacled Bear, SA
  • Grey Crowned Crane, AF
  • Grey Langur, AS
  • Blackbuck, (or Markhor) AS
  • Goodfellow Tree Kangaroo, O
  • Parson's Chameleon, AF (E)
  • King Cobra, AS (E)

This, this is near perfect

Or i would say it, but 6 african animals does feel pretty eh, but just goes to show how many great animals the game has been activly avoiding.
Sure we could get the baboon to fill that open niche but noooo 5 ungulates and a cat it is

After feedback I'd like to switch the guereza for a squirrel monkey or white-faced saki. I think it definitely suits as a common zoo animal, and both should be implementable.

These are some of the best suggestions I’ve seen yet, especially the Colours of the world pack which I highly doubt they’ll do but would imo be the best option to get in the essential flying birds before the end of support.

I wanted to edit the python to the homalayan monal since it may suited for a pack like that. But thank you. Yes colours of the world or may a song of the world pack would be a nice to bring birds in althught I wouldn't include only birds.

Imagine having just one more pack to be covered, and you get nothing but these clones which are like 1.2.3 work for modders....
The horror.

I'm more for the species and guy I think every species could have some uniquness but i see your point.
But we don't have a good rabbit or hare animation. Also true for hedgehogs. We have otter but i not agree that is good for ferret, may the meerkat animation, but not sure, so a more terrestial middle, small mustellid would be nice. The Ibis would be good for other ibises, also flying bird. I could agree you with the dogs and the cats, I just wanted to add here more fairy talish animals also i wanted more around the world. I would change the asian lion for a red squirrel or a to a the indian wolf for an aye aye.

Biome Pack
  1. Red-and-White Giant Flying Squirrel (WTE) - Dry Forest
  2. Aye-Aye - Rainforest
  3. Golden Snub-nosed Monkey- Temperate Forest

  5. Arctic Hare - Boreal Forest
  6. Short-beaked Echidna - Scrubland
  7. Secretary Bird - Grassland
  8. Shoebill - Wetland
  9. Takahe - Island
  10. Chinese Giant Salamander - Mountain
  11. Hamadryas Baboon - Desert
  12. Musk Ox - Tundra
