Manticore Executor mods suggestions

I love this gun! I have one now at grade 5 and I started to consider what mods I could apply to it.

My initial thoughts are for
1. audio masking
2. magazine size or reload speed
3. range
4. scope or higher accuracy.

I would appreciate any thought and suggestions.

P.S. I started to build a Manticore Executor temple 🙏
 
1, 2, and 4, would be my choice mods, in the order 4-1-2, and if I can get both mag size and reload I would. Range is a bit on the fudgy side anyway - scope may help accuracy, but if they see the shot coming or just, y'know, move, it's a wasted round... Don't get me wrong, I've made long distance kills with my G3 Executor, and they were very satisfying, but I prefer that they're a little closer, with their back to me, and a good hiding spot for me to retreat to if there's more than one of 'em ;)

3. range
As of now, the Extended Range mod is either bugged and not doing anything or only increases the damage falloff, which isn't worth using a slot for. See the following thread for details:


Other than that, mod selection looks good. The magazine size increases to 5 with the magazine mod and the reload speed mod apparently increases the reload speed by only 20% (see Ydiss' thread here); if I'd had to pick only one of the two, I'd go with the magazine increase. I'm tempted to use both on my G5 Oppressor though.

I'm interested in the scope mod, but haven't found any information on it as of yet.

Effective range of Executor without mods is 100m, but I know it's total range is 200. I put that into consideration because of how long range works on ships AKA x2 speed and no damage falloff.
And from my experience I know that even that NPCs sees the kill and follow the trajectory* they will not detect you under cover and will switch off shields and go casual in just 1-2 min.

* I am not sure they follow the trajectory but rather react to the shot sound. At least this is what they say. This is why I consider audio masking.
 
Suit mods also modify weapon damage

Damage resistance on the Mavewrick is very nice - got it on my G3 suit and it pretty much beats my G3 Dominator into a cocked hat, as it were ;)
 
I'm looking toward:

Audio masking
Scope
Accuracy
Range

However: I know that most of these are broken right now so I will have to wait to see what would be most effective. Looks like audio masking is only good for airless worlds/unpressurized environs where noise suppressor only works in pressurized and atmospheric worlds.

We will see, too early yet. Wanna see the deep dives into all of these delicious mods when the actually work right lol

Well, accuracy is I think because, well, there currently is no sway on my weapons aiming down the sights from what I can see. I can shoot targets dead on without having to compensate for sway.

Accuracy states it reduces sway, so I guess its actually kinda "broken in reverse" as there is no sway whatsoever to reduce lol

Do you have some test/proof of that as from what I understood is that audio masking is outdoor thing while noise cancalation is indoor. It is light atmosphere, there is not much preasure there.
 
 
The common sense says that light atmospheres do not have much of a preasure if any.

But, like on present day Mars, with only 5 percent atmosphere you can hear sound given off by various things. The various Mars rovers have had microphones to record the sound of wind and even pick up the fainter sounds of the rovers motors.

So yes, common sense would dictate that thin atmospheres would definitely be conducive to sound.
 
Why have one when you can carry two?

1. Extended Mag
2. Reload
3. Faster Handling
4. Stowed Reloading

1. Extended Mag
2. Audio Masking
3. Noise Suprressor
4. Stowed Reloading

10 shots of death without reloading (and faster reloading when switch isn't required). And full stealth mode optional. The only thing I may change is Stowed for Accuracy but the Executioner's sway is pretty minimal.

This is the way.
 
@Ydiss you are assuming Dominator while I am considering a stealth Maverick.

But thanks for the interesting suggestion. I may consider to grind 2nd one in future.

There is weapon sway after sprinting for extended durations... does the mod reduce that? If so, it could be an interesting choice for an aggressive playstyle with the Executioner.
 
If using it for missions and looting, and you want to be stealthy, use both silencing mods. Otherwise just use the aidio masking with other stuff.
