Just voted for this, it's made material gathering miserable for ages
90% of the time, picking an approach angle and going very slow will get the job done, but it is annoying when that fails! Not possible if they are close together.
Particularly if you have put in a lot of time trying to line everything up.90% of the time, picking an approach angle and going very slow will get the job done, but it is annoying when that fails!
From what i can tell they aren't destroyed, just yeeted into orbit or into the crust.Since when have materials like Antimon been destroyed when you drive over them with your SRV?
This is also an issue with the Sentinel material drops where collision with their remains causes their drops to fly off into nirvana. Or maybe purgatory, I’m not quite sure at that speed. Sometimes all three drops will be there, sometimes only one. Or just none… occasionally I’ve found them a few dozen meters from the spot I shot a Sentinel down, in a random direction.I was at a Guardian site earlier unlocking the FSD booster. I drove over a technology component and it flew off at a velocity fast enough to put it into orbit.
That this isn't unusual suggests that something weird is going on with the game physics.
Not possible if they are close together. You can only aim at one. So is this called a feature or a bug?
In both cases it is frustrating.
This is the wayIf they are really close together you can get right up next to them in scoop range and just pick them up by selecting them in the contacts panel without moving
I am not sure they make orbit. From what i can tell they aren't destroyed, just yeeted into orbit or into the crust.![]()
