Just a reminder, player factions should be able to defend themselves against another set of players attacking their controlling factions or expansion.

Just a question...as Player Faction tags/ID don't exist...how EXACTLY do you know if a Cmdr in a given system IS attacking your Player Minor Faction - I use "attacking" in the loosest possible sense IE: merely completing Missions for other factions

And if you DON'T know whether they working for your faction/against your faction or working for multiple factions at the same time (to no net overall effect) then why would you attack them? (Outside of your strange obsession with seeing hollow squares explode)

Oh wow you guys are still here?

Just a reminder, player factions should be able to defend themselves against another set of players attacking their controlling factions or expansion. Players shouldn't be able to remove themselves for a competitive advantage and still complete an objective against the active players playing the game.

Anyone that argues against this is indeed FOR griefing to continue in this game. And core changes are needed to fix the toxicity in this game so people understand why they would be shot at.

Reactive based gameplay is not healthy. There needs to be some level of counter play during these new awesome player objectives Adam Woods showed us live on stream. The attackers shouldn't get to choose if they are seen or not. This is not about a particular playstyle any longer as even people that like to PVP recognize its more efficient to to use a naked ship with an FSD to get the job done. The same issues that plagued powerplay.

These are player based objectives. And NPC's shouldn't be the only thing standing in the way between 2 player factions.

Can you imagine all the different types of random scenarios going on during a conflict zone with people on each side. Then an objective comes up for people to fight over? Its very dynamic and creates reasons to fight over things. An understanding.

Or are we just gonna leave it to how many times it can be done vs how much time each side has? Even with all this new stuff it still wouldn't be far off from what we have today. And the game would still be plagued with the same issues.

We need some of this interaction to be restricted. We need new and exciting gameplay. It would still be optional. But it shouldn't ever EVER be optional between sets of players fighting over a system. You should have the chance to face your enemy. And that enemy shouldn't be crying about their "playstyle" while attacking another group.

I've kind of kept out of this since you jumped in to peddle your own version of ED that you insist everyone else participate in but I find myself compelled to ask a question:

How does one defend something, anything in this game 24 hours a day, 7 days of the week. Is your faction big enough to ensure permanent presence at all times? I know I live in a different timezone, so I can say with a minimum of 75% confidence that I could play when I know you aren't, since I am retired and can play whenever I want to. I also know that I could get a big enough group to assist me in this, just to shut you up. Oh and yes it would be in Open.

You seem to be under the impression that the game revolves around conflict, that everyone must participate in PvP, that everyone is hell bent on conquering whomever is nearby. That players can't coexist in a shared galaxy without everyone attacking everyone else. Your focus is on one very small aspect of the game, one that only a minority participate in, one that could be easily disabled in the game and the vast majority of players wouldn't even notice.

Ever heard of Hotel California? Which is a sort of meme around here? That's been going for 6 years, without going anywhere.
Oh, wait a minute...

over and over for 6 years?
I think I get the joke now :D

Guys, the Fuel Rats just had their faction taken over by a group in private and there NOTHING they can do about it. They can’t go and confront these people because said people who confronted the Fuel Rats faction are hiding in a PG and are afraid to come out. This is the kind of crap we’re trying to make you guys see. But you have your heads so far up your rear ends that you can’t listen to simple reason.

Hello!

Have you met Elite Dangerous? It's developed by the fine people at Frontier Developments. You should try it. It sounds *similar* to the game you are referring to, but not the same game.

Enjoy!
