Modes Mega ships open only content?

OK, I skipped over the middle 10 pages of threads cause I have a life. This whole BGS/open only thing should be put to rest and buried as deep as possible. 3 different platforms that even they only you do open you will never see to be able to directly counter. That should be end of argument. The fact that there is 3 different modes in each platform just strengthens the argument that much more.

Just do what you can in your platform/mode/instance to further your cause and don't worry to much about stuff you can't control. Seems simple to me, why is this horse being beaten to death for the 1000th time?

OP, to my knowledge nothing has ever been made open only yet. The only thing Frontier has ever committed to making only only is the next PowerPlay update whenever it comes.

Oh contraire there are a few things that have been made Open Only:

Egos
Ganking
Greifing
Unfounded belief that PvP is the only aspect of the game
Very weird idea that playing in Open is more manly
The concept that everyone must play in Open to be the game content for a tiny minority
The unfounded thought that by playing in Open one my be rewarded more.

Of course that is just a quick list off my head, I am sure there are some Open Only zealots that could list some more

I'd like to give you a friendly reminder that this topic went on for 3 years before I got here. Had a name made up about the topic before I got here.

The community wants the change. Especially with the new BGS changes and after this whole fuel rats thing.

Im just the loudest idiot. There were people before me doing the same thing.

I do love living in your heads though.

Its provided literal years of entertainment.

Wrong yet again, my post is available in all modes, you can read it alone, with some select friends or with everyone. I have am not specifying nor demanding that my post can only be read by a certain group, nor am I complaining that someone may read this offline, or by themselves and that if they did so would somehow devalue the value of my post!

Probably. There are some guys out there that have a little pride attached to it. And thats okay.

Personally, im not that great. I have 2.2 billion in rebuy cost. I always stay to the death. Win or lose. Objective based gameplay that I have done is a little different. I will just complete my task and wake if possible.

Ive been stream sniped. Super ganked by SDC and others. I dont care.

I enjoy the battle. I enjoy Elite Dangerous.

Its not hard to find me. Ill accept any friend request.

I dont care if you stream snipe me. I dont have a problem with using solo for personal progression. I dont have a problem streaming in open when I do BGS or CG stuff.

I am aware if any changes ever happen. Im gonna get super ganked the minute my stream comes on.

The only words I have is.

Guys, the Fuel Rats just had their faction taken over by a group in private and there NOTHING they can do about it. They can’t go and confront these people because said people who confronted the Fuel Rats faction are hiding in a PG and are afraid to come out. This is the kind of crap we’re trying to make you guys see. But you have your heads so far up your rear ends that you can’t listen to simple reason.

The Fuel Rats got their BGS faction taken out by a group from private.

Its their home system they can't be taken out. Wait for the attackers to get bored and move on then reestablish control, or go against them vis the BGS in whatever mode you like. PVP for either the attacker or defender is the least efficient way of doing those things.

Its probably the same people who attacked Mobius some months ago, they seem to have an agenda of pushing the narrative that the BGS would be defensible only if it was limited to open. Which shows they don't really know what they are doing.
