Mercenaries of Mikunn - The Background Simulation and Colonization Test

^ Got it! I was used to the logs being released after the update :) [and also forgot to do the GMT+2 conversion]

Make sure to check the IRC before popping on. We did a group strike yesterday on check points, seeking goods, and resource extraction sites. It was quite literally, a blast. Plan is to do it again today (or tonight for me)

Edit: I actually meant the TeamSpeak server.

Now we have 1.04 I'd better get my posterior back to Mikunn in a hurry... I got distracted clocking up some credits while waiting for that fix. Looks like I am further away than I intended to be.

after you said so I wanted to test so. So i bought 1t of battle weapons in kwate and I was able to sell them at Spassky (though with a small loss)

and that was in the regular commodities market

You can pretty much sell any good at spassky's if it is on the regular trade list. If an item isnt normally on the list though at that particular station, showing up and selling it has always been a loss for me.

So they are listed as illegal ? but we can sell them on the regular market, could this have something to do with the switch to expansion status ? There have been notes with another system where a pirate faction took over that the status of a station changed in terms of trade - perhaps the galaxy/system map doesnt update to reflect change of factional type ( ie a pirate faction take over a corporation station - one would expect a black market to open up if this works the way i think it might)

Maybe with expansion status or a fuedal faction in charge at mikunn then battle weapons might be sold on the market.. well i would say if we can as others have noted continue to give them over to missions unless u need the credits, as it raises the ability of the dukes to fight and has what appears to be fixed with 1.04 in terms fo all status changes applying.

As far as 1.04 goes, if the server ticks are 1 day long each and it say takes 3 ticks to go civil unrest pending, civil unrest critical, then actual civil unrest. And we have to go through then civil war. It may still take a few weeks to completley tip a system ( it would be nice to know if the influence thing is working properly) or if taking a station is the thing we need to do to move influence first. But it will soon be figured out.
My personal viewpoint is that its going to take more than 1 person to even influence a small system. Unless youre doing 12 hours a day and can move large amounts of cargo, and have a nasty combat shpi that can murder 100s of npcs a day.

And there still may be undiscovered or undisclosed mechanisms that still have the 9.1% stuck. No one needs to respond to my post

The wealth upgrade to the dukes is my focus. So missions in mikunn that raise economic boom, influence and perhaps reduce civil unrest is where ill focus over weekend. Trade in and out of kwatee and sukra as there doesnt seem to be much happening there - but lets also watch those two sectors as things there have been stalled i think the communist faction in kwatee have been 55% influence and every now andthen the arrow goes blue on influence.
Sukra has been stuck in the mud but traffic has been less there. The federal purple industries faction is the strongest there and remains so.

Would be nice if we could get expansion critical and tip the dukes into both thsoe systems but it remains to be seen, might focus my efforts there ( if we are getting more help in the HR element)

Each to their own back to downloading this patch that is slow as might not even get to play before work

Does anybody know if doing missions in Mikunn for the Dukes is suppose to help in HR 7327? Or is the only reason to do Mikunn missions to get allied with the Dukes? Or do we not know?

We dont know say if doing a mission from mikunn to HR to deliver documents to say dynamics raises the influence in mikunn or HR ( for the dukes) usually the party on the end suffers some red down arrow in economic boom down, civil unrest up etc. But it could have been that the first dataset was being applied and the subsequent ones werent ( that is influence up for dukes but not influence down for the other part) as is the case in some missions.

For example dukes mission from kwatee - Deliver intel dossier to our war sub brance in kwatee
Outcomes Dukes of mikunn influence +1 ( mikunn or kwatee unknown) i guess if its mikunn it might go towards expansion, if its in kwatee, then expansion critical and 100 of these missions might tip them into kwatee as a minor faction. ?

Constitution party of kwatee - civil unrest and lockdown upwards
Influence change 0% - so that particular mission would seem to increase the dukes influence up 1% somewhere either mikunn or kwatee.
But it raises the lockdown and civil unrest timer on the constitution party of kwatee faction ( it could be 0.01% it could be 0.1% to that timer or 1% but its not listed its just a red arrow up)

Now as far as how often the ticks take place - my personal assumption is that due to the pending status seems to move but not fire every hour or two, is that the actions in each hour are collected, tallied hourly this may affect npc and missions, and theres a % chanc even if small that an actual status change will become permanent ( pending to actual) but there are also changes that take place once a day also.
None of this is confimred except daily changes its under the hood. But there is a tally of actions across players and maybe npcs at some sort of interval and then this is applied to the background simulator. It then updates ie seeking goods and checkpoints as well. So its still up in the air, but if things are working a little better now well have to continue to monitor and if something isnt right start lobbying the devs over the next few weeks

Stations will buy any goods that you bring to them. They are just not listed unless there is demand. If there is no demand the price is terrible.

We don't know, and we're not going to know unless we get told unfortunately.

CMDR TeslaCoil reporting.

I'm making my way towards Mikuun this afternoon. I am but a poor Sidewinder pilot, but a fair dogfighter. If you'll have me, I'd like to help expand the reach of the Dukes.

U can run data missions, or thee are missions to retreive military plans , rare artworks, prototype tech and black boxes they pay 10-20k per time, u just need to cruise around the USS sites and pickup the boxes return them ( and run them ) from outposts only as a general guide, as stations will scan u and they are illegal but if u fly to outposts u can dock without sys authority scanning u , complete the mission without incurring a fine.
There another hole that if u find a uss with say 5 mil plans, u can return to station, and every 20 mintues or so accept and instantly finish that mission 1 per time, u dont actually need to fly to the system in the mission if u have the mil plans etc in youre hold u can finish the mission without leaving the station, most missions neec 1-2 of the items but the USS where u find them can have 5 at a time. With a viper with say 3-4 of each misson objective i can make some healthy credits without even leaving very often. But finding a USS with the cargo canisters can also be a hassle.

Thanks! Can I just check - under "Transaction description" do you want the description as it appears on the left panel, or the description at the top when you click on a mission?

Left pannel and than in bullet bord ...

We are gathering quit good mission statistics this way, try making missions that are not in it yet, thanks.

I made my way to Mikunn this evening, I met Liu Kang and Dr.Zli (of Dr.Evil in english :D ) and I completed my first mission.
See you tommorow :)
