If there were a "Mobius" style private group, but one that was good with piracy, I'd join that.

I like the risk and potential PvP, though I don't pursue it. Basically an anything but griefing/exploiting goes mobius style group...

For now, I'll just pay more attention when approaching stations at Lave, if I see a , I'll just switch to solo for docking.

I don't care if it's Mr. <snip> or Mr. <snip>. All I know is that this nonsense has to stop. I had to leave the system broke because of their ilk. I wonder if David Braben would have anything to say about this nonsense. People are saying that we should just go to solo mode as a work around. That's wrong. We shouldn't have to do that. Frontier needs to bring in some back-up. Launch an Fdev fleet of woop-a on these hackin' sobs! Do it now!

Thats the point. most of us love the concept of danger with sudden PvP. However people using exploits and directly cheats with ammo, shield, hull etc is just destroying the experience completely. Its just a one way show. Even if you fly a best case fitted Python/Anaconda and being the best pilot in Elite you are still chanceless in every situation.

you could always start one if there isn't one already - call it the 'honorable play' group and have all members swear an oath to play fair.

The problem is that there is a fix and the bug has been around for ages. FD won't put out a hot fix because it's due to roll out with the next patch. Whilst this does suck, it's more of an upheaval to do an entire patch for one bug fix (server downtime, qa, compiling etc) especially when the fix is coming out in like a week or so.

Until then if you're in populated areas it is unfortunately best to flip to solo in these known hot spots as these people won't stop until it's fixed and then move on to the next bug.

I'm 100% open player btw so I'm not on the side of the greifers or someone trying to nerf open.

I'd go with this. I'm hesitant to join mobius as I do like the "danger" of not knowing the intentions of another commander, and can accept piracy as a risk, but anyone who cheats, exploits or griefs is not part of the game IMHO...

Nah, I don't want to be the one dealing with the complaints about the inevitable morons that join and grief. I'll let someone else sort that mess out. And there will always be those that whinge about people playing within the "rules".

I agree, it would be a great group - just wouldn't want to have to keep it tidy myself, though...

It would have the potential to basically "be" Open mode, as th eonly ones left to Open play would be the griefers and cheaters.

If only FD invested in servers and let go of p2p there wouldnt be problems as this ine. I dont see FD fixing this issue anytime soon as new hacks will just appear after a a hack has been fixed.

The Mobius group is ok with PvP in conflict zones as long as you choose a faction. Perhaps the group would be ok with piracy as long as the pirate is a pirate with ethics, and not just a plain old meniacal murderer?

You realize that it can't be changed now.. right? They would have to make a whole new game... from line 1. If you're saying they should have did this from the beginning, I agree entirely (If it was even possible).

yea, until and unless we get group admin functions so you can share the responsibilities with others it would be a bit much for one person to handle.

OMG!!! bit of reading around google, there are actualy people playing this game, that are willing to pay up to $500 for a cheat or hack, then $50 - $100 a month to keep it viable... COMPLETE SHOCK.

This is a reminder for everyone posting about this issue.
Naming and shaming is against the forum rules that everyone has agreed to. You all know that naming an in-game commander is not allowed, so any further occurances in this thread will get an infraction.

Do not post CMDR names, it cannot be clearer.

i think for a lot of people that would be stretching the definition of PvE a little far, one of the reasons i joined was because i wanted to play with others in a universe where i didn't have to worry about seeing a hollow square on the radar. heck even in conflict zones if there is only one other person there i'd message them before choosing a side so i could join the side they are on.
