He was hanging out inside the George Lucas Sation in Leesti. Yes, inside. The station was firing on him as I entered, on his small viper craft. As I entered, my shields dropped very suddenly as a stream of dumbfires pounded my ship. I quickly spammed shield cells, but he still got my shields down and hull to 75% before I could dock and escape his attack. He sat, hovering over my landing pad, the station blasting his tiny viper the whole time. I thought maybe he had zipped out of the station, spamming shield cells to not get his ship destroyed, but no, the whole 5 minutes I sat in the docking bay he hovered overhead with all the station's turrets blasting him. As soon as I launched, there he was, blasting an endless stream of dumfires, I managed to dodge some and get my shield cells going agains, but they just kept coming with no time to reload and I eventually lost my ship.


Rebuy cost of 4 Mil.

I reported the player's name as soon as it happened.


This kind of problem is a game breaking issue as far as I'm concerned for games. If Frontier doesn't plan to address the issues of allowing the clients to dictate how much health, shields, ammo, etc. a player's ship has, the hackers are going to lead this game down a path that leads to more fair minded players deciding they have no option but to cheat as well. I'm not threatening you, Frontier; I'm not saying I'm going to hack my client like this. I am saying expect it to become the norm if you don't address the matter soon. A quick Google search makes it clear just how easily and extensively anyone can do this.

For example, an in gamr button you can press which will start logging telrmetey on all pcs in an instance and pacackes that ready for delivery to FD. When you hit the button again it prompts you if you want to send the data to FD... Just in xase you realize there was no cheating going on.

Now your idea has merit. There will STILL be ton's of data to pore over but that's a more realistic way to tackle it.

If you are using client-side cheats then you should be banned from the game.
If not, well, Fine. But... is it fun? Sounds like someone treated you badly in the game so now... you've decided to be that guy to other players. I think that's sad.

I agree that thevstation response is rather weak. If you're expecting it and are in a fast manoeuvrable ship it's not a problem.

Lot off players complaining about me first thing if i fire my 4 dumbfire missiles every time when i hit the fire button you go down almost instant bigger ships take longer when use chaff and shield cell bank it take the station some time to kill me i die every time but whit the chaff launcher and shield cell bank i have a lot off time to escape or fire more if you dont know how it works fine but hacks no way i can fly arround the station when fire at me and still be alive for some time all dumbfire missile on 1 fire button sec button chaff and shield cell bank thats it you try it yourself and all the complains against me they should make weapon lock inside the station just like the mass lock remember online game play is dangerous.

you can just tell this guy is a 16year old cheat.

shield cells won't keep you alive in a station long, certainly not as long as victims are quoting here

Honestly, they need to rethink this name and shame policy they have. These people need to be outed to the community for the scum they are. They've lost whatever right they have to play the game.

Too much open to abuse unfortunatley. What happens for those idiots (sad, lonely, live with their mum, never touched a girl type of person) who decide to name any commander they see?

as people have said, log a call with the commanders name. If FD get enough complains about the same commander name they they can assume the complaints are more genuine. I'm sure I read somewhere that rather than being moved to solo any cheaters would be moved to a 'cheaters instance' where they can happily cheat each other.

as the OP did, we should, after logging a ticket, highlight where these people are in game so we can avoid those stations until FD come alone with their big stick of justice.

Go for it. Fill your boots. Have fun in 1.1 where the station will blow you up but your targets automatic response wont target them. Looking for ways you can exploit bugs in the game mechanic and trolling on players is low, can be trivially avoided and will gain you zero respect. Find a better way to play or <snip>

The forum seems to be filling up with more and more reports of hackers...this definitely seems like something that needs to be dealt with.

And for those of you that say "quit whining, the solo button's right on the menu"...we shouldn't sacrifice an integral part of the game just because of a few hackers that FD haven't been able to pin down (yet)

In my experience for what it's worth, cheaters rarely do it on their own accounts, preferring to use hacked accounts, after all who would cheat on their own account ? Ironically probably a percentage of these cheat programs that are available probably steal the users un and pass and email it to someone else, oh well I might just stop playing this game and completely forget about it, it has enough problems with bugs and being boring, cheats are just yet another fail in a long list of 400 million fails.

Yep the next update fixes the station exploit and corrects dumbfires against shields

But you are a liar and a cheat. Shield cells will NOT allow you to survive as long as you have been.

All pilots are members of the pilots federation. Firing on a fellow commander inside 2km of a station should be an offence. You trigger station defence so you are noted in game. Fines should be proportional to credit balance, repeat offences should attract a higher fine.

I remember you lasting all of 10 seconds in clean combat in 2v1 at your advantage against me. You are 1 hell of a pilot son. You take out your anger on people trying to dock by abusing mechanics.

Fight fair, dont abuse mechanics.
