Come back!

Tell me step by step what happened.

You mined the 600t ok,

You left the ring.

Then you were interdicted?

Thanks for coming back.

Right, in populated areas, when mining, pirates will show up. It's normally the case that as soon as you enter the ring, they flick up on your radar. I normally take that time to sort my hard points out, boost toward the rocks, you know, get ready. I might fire off a prospector if I get to a rock soon enough, but I always wait. The pirates will swing by, tell me about hungry children then go. Now I can mine.

If I leave that ring then decide to go back in it, that dance is going to happen again. Except this time, I have cargo.

Depending on your ship and skills, you could try boosting away, but for me, I never go back in. Once out of the ring, I slam the pedal down and get to where I'm going. Your mistake here has been to go back into the ring, holding cargo.

So either don't do that again or next time you're ion some rings, on your own, have a trial run at how you might boost your way through the rocks and get out of the ring.

What ship you in?

was in a type 9 heavy, i know how to get around pirates with the limpets and hard points away, they will ask for cargo, u comply and as soon as they acknowledge u have given the cargo, u open u cargo scoop and let the limpets to there job, the pirates will leave u alone, i didn't even get this chance is why i am so depressed,

It's galling but don't give up yet! The best lessons are learnt the hard way, no?

You could have high waked too?

Anyways, get some good advice here and most importantly, try again!

personally as soon as I enter a ring I get close to the rocks just above them and wait
as soon as they show up ima full pip straight line boosting till at least 8km clear of lead persuiter (at which point you will loose him)
they usually cant even manage to scan (kitted to mine so no guns)
my a rated lightweighted dirty drive python is well suited for this
as I do like too think I can get outta trouble far quicker than I got into it.
sometimes I turn it around and kit it for combat with a 2ton cargo hold with 1 ton gold its like fishing
I even do the running bit till 6km from lead before I flip the script on them

Some of them pirates are a bit lively. Type 9 is a lump, as you know not the best thing to do a toes lively in.

I feel your pain. The lessons in Elite are difficult, each one another hammer blow in the face.

The lesson here is never go back in the ring. I'm a mere pup in this game, been playing around 4 years, only been mining seriously for a year. That was also the first lesson I learned. Go and have a beverage.

still dont get me my 600t of musgravite back
This is very true but what you do have is priceless. You gained some good mining experience. You gained some new knowledge about sassy pirates. You found a place (here) where people are aching for you to enjoy the game as much as they do and they will do all they can to see that along.

oh a T9, well that explains it.

You need G5 Dirty Thrusters really especially if new to the cow.

You can also totally turret it and add a hangar bay for an NPC pilot.

None of it gets your Musgravite back, it is that type of game.

have mined close to over a billion buddy, i know the drill, guess am just venting on here really, not the 1st load i've lost a load this way, just the last time i'll play it after this, i have heard Dev's have help ppl before, might open a ticket with them, appreciate the help though, cheers

This game "teaches" some hard lessons.

You can really waste a lot of credits and TIME when you get sloppy.

It is one of the things that gives this game an enhanced experience.

Just wait until you loose months worth of deep space exploration data on "first discovered" systems.

I don't know about that. When I go or log into a ring with cargo I wait until the pirates arrive then kill them. (Yum yum eat the materials.) Once they are deaded they won't be back until the next session.

Fair enough but my mining ship is built for mining, I don’t carry weapons on it for fighting because I’m such a graceful runner.
