I'm pretty sure you need to be at/near the same station to receive the trade dividends.
You will recive a message at information table that you won % of his profit, and you dont need be at the same station
Well two oposed opinions.. need one more 
Honestly have never done wing mining, but that is how it works for trade dividends (I think, lol).
